It's very easy to define ourselves or others by externals: what we do, who we're in relationship with, where we live, what language we speak, etc. While those can be important things to know about us, that doesn't capture the ultimate identity we have. As we conclude our series in Matthew, we see how God responded to the break that sin brings to all our relationships, including ours with God: salvation through Christ, and charging those who received that salvation to carry that message throughout the world.
