What do we do when life doesn’t make sense? When we look around at injustice, suffering, and uncertainty and find ourselves asking, “Where are you, Lord?” In this message from Habakkuk 1, we see that God is not threatened by our honest questions. Like a loving Father, He invites us to bring our burdens, fears, and frustrations to Him and promises mercy and grace in our time of need.
Habakkuk learned to find “safe and solid ground” by remembering who God is: the great I AM, eternal, personal, holy, faithful, sovereign, and our rock. When everything around us feels unstable, these truths give us something firm on which to stand.
This sermon encourages us not to ignore our doubts or pretend everything is fine, but to bring them honestly to God—and then learn to trust Him more deeply.
