This week I find myself returning to the theme of Hope, God's glorious future and promises for his people.

Jesus’s resurrection is the promise and assurance of new life. Every time we break bread we remember not only His death on the cross but the formation of a new covenant and the inauguration of new creation.
As we share in communion, Wayne elaborates how we can lean into the new life that He has promised for us.

The New Testament reveals a powerful thread of God’s story and His working with humanity that weaves from the Garden, to the Cross, and on until the creation of a new heaven and earth. Whilst Genesis tells the story of creation and the first Adam, Jesus the Messiah comes as the last Adam to bring new Creation, new birth, and new life.

Wayne takes a look at how we too are called to participate in the new creation.

One of the earliest hymns to Christ is found in the letter to the Colossians.
His hymn focuses on the centrality and supremacy of Jesus.

Communication is essential to any meaningful relationship and equally to our relationship with God. We know that prayer was central to Jesus’ life and inspired His followers to ask Him to teach them how to pray. Prayer is important to Paul too and he frequently reminds believers that he is praying for them whilst encouraging them to pray.
