The term Advent, meaning “arrival”, reflects our longing for meaningful moments. Over time, society has drifted from the core reasons for Jesus's coming—Hope, Peace, Joy, Light and Love—making these themes feel rare today. This deepens our anticipation for both Jesus’s initial arrival and His future return. Join us this Christmas season as we explore these key themes and eagerly await God's arrival on Earth!

The gift of encouragement empowers people to overcome discouragement, strengthen their faith, and navigate difficult situations, motivating them to reach their full God-given potential. Join us as we conclude our series with how this gift is life-giving to all of us as Christ-followers.

Every church benefits from having individuals who possess the spiritual gift of generosity! It's a common misconception that this gift is solely associated with financial wealth; however, the essence of generosity is found in the joy of giving, no matter the size of the contribution. Join us as Todd and Justin, along with HHICC attendees, discuss this topic and delve into the joy that comes from being a generous giver.

The spiritual gift of mercy is often understated but is crucial in the church today. Those with this gift recognize the suffering around them and respond with compassion and care. Along with Todd’s teaching, we will hear from Scott and Patrice Smith, who fully share this gift in our church and community.

In Week 4, we will explore the spiritual gift of leadership and its related gifts. Through interviews and teaching, we will discuss how leaders equip the church to fulfill its mission, stay focused, develop vision, and implement effective tools and systems for long-term sustainability.

In Week 3, Todd and members of our church with the spiritual gift of teaching will discuss how this gift helps others grow in their faith. Those with the gift love sharing biblical truths and see the transformation it brings to others. They have a unique ability to simplify complex concepts and effectively communicate God's Word for practical application.

In Week 2, Justin will discuss the often misunderstood gift of prophecy with Pastor Kevin Tzib from Dunamis Ministries in Belize. Many see prophecy as merely predicting the future, but it is actually about hearing and sharing God's word to edify His people, whether publicly or individually.

In Week 1 of our series, Todd will discuss the gift of service, featuring stories from HHICC members who exemplify this in our church and community! Just as stirring a pot keeps flavors vibrant, we must "stir up" our spiritual gifts. In 2 Timothy, Paul encourages us to reignite these gifts for meaningful service. This series will explore spiritual gifts from the New Testament, help you identify your unique talents, and guide you in using those gifts to serve God effectively.

Join us this Sunday as we wrap up our series in Ephesians. We’ll explore how God's love calls us to embrace unity and work together in His mission. As we gather, we’ll also share in Communion, remembering Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice that unites us as one body.
