Hindsightless

A house update, a crow update, a Horgus update, a Malazan update, and calls from Jason and Daniel. Herein is much awesomeness to be had by all!

We're back at it again, folks. Only this time, we're focusing more on the dragon side of things. The progenitor of this whole debate, Daniel Norton, of the Bandit's Keep media empire, defends his stance that a 1st level party beating up on a dragon is totally legit, Jason calls in with a correction, and Horgus tells us why he does the things he does. This one's got it all!

I'll answer that question in two different ways. No calls. Just me. Have fun!

It's really not my fault that this is another 30 minute episode. I have fifteen minutes of calls from Anthony and Jason about the shogoth vs. red dragon debate, and I want everyone out there to get both sides of the story. Is the conundrum of air superiority discussed? What about the fact that dragons are wicked smart? Can fire even hurt a shogoth? Find out the answers the these "burning" questions, and much more, in this episode. It's, as the kids say, fire!

Red Dragon Fight by Nerd's RPG Variety Cast: https://anchor.fm/jason376/episodes/388-Red-Dragon-vs-Shoggoth-e1minnn

A shorter one today where I take a couple of super rad calls from Colin and James. What makes role playing games so cool? Who would win in a fight: Elric or Anamander? What's up with Horgus? All this and more in this action-packed episode!

Today we're fueling up the jets, hitting the runways, and discussing the overwhelming advantage of air superiority. Jason and the Pink Phantom may have some things to say about my "nerd logic", but I finally get some support on the dragon vs. shogoth debate from my good buddies Colin Green and Karl Rodriguez! I suppose I'll also talk about the RPG-A-Day 2022 prompt for today and tell you about one of the characters I'm currently playing.

A-10: Why The Warthog Is Still The Best Tank Killer Ever Designed: https://www.19fortyfive.com/2022/06/a-10-why-the-warthog-is-still-the-best-tank-killer-ever-designed/

I recap the rad session of Wrath of the Righteous I recently ran, talk about Doom Patrol, give a restaurant review, and talk about a thing I like in an RPG setting. This one is jammed packed. All those disparate parts are brought together by Jason "the Tie That Binds" Conerly!!! Really good stuff!

Today I have the distinct honor of being joined by the most special guest to appear on this podcast so far! Kevin, of the redcaps podcast, asked for a second opinion on my review of the magic spoon cereal that I had ordered. His request was graciously answered. Will also hear from Jason on the hills of paid product promotion. Before all that, I’ll talk about how long my games normally last. This is a super great one, folks!

In this episode I talk about why my favorite game is still my favorite game, and then we'll hear from John of the Red Dice Diaries! That's right! He's back; and he's got some stuff to say about maps, minis, and VTT's.

Today were talking about a sense of time and place. Ray calls in to tell us about an awesome place to play role playing games and about the time. In which splat books 1st appeared. I’ll talk about where my favorite place to play role-playing games is, and then Jason, Spencer, Anthony, Julia, and Colin will talk about the awesome game, Maid RPG. This one is amazing, folks!
