Hinrich works, on a mostly voluntary basis, for organisations that defend human rights. He is Green Party politician in his local district of Reinickendorf where he and has party have championed the support of refugees through direct engagement with the community. He will represent Amnesty International Deutschland at the Global Assembly of Amnesty International where current and future paths will be decided upon and undertaken. Hinrich also works for the Human Rights Foundation, which provides funding and support to human rights defenders.

In this podcast, Hinrich talks to me about his personal motivation, why he started out on the path of human rights and how he has always been involved one way or another. And now in retirement, he is back on that same path with youthful vigour, working as an enabler, so that those who defend human rights on the front lines, know they have support coming.
