The government had a key cooperating witness in the investigation of the Nine Trey Bloods before Tekashi69 flipped — the Brooklyn rapper’s driver.

The driver, Jorge Rivera, testified Monday that he began helping the feds in May 2018, after he was thrown in immigration jail because he is an undocumented immigrant.

He was released in July of last year and returned to his job driving the rowdy rapper. Later that month, Rivera was behind the wheel with Tekashi in the backseat of a Chevy Tahoe when they were rear-ended. Security cameras in the ride captured the dramatic moment when two men identified by Tekashi as Anthony “Harv” Ellison and “Sha” kidnapped the “GUMMO” artist at gunpoint.

“I thought we were going to get killed. And we would be robbed,” Rivera said on the stand in Manhattan Federal Court through a Spanish interpreter.

Rapper Tekashi 69 on Thursday named fellow rapper Jim Jones as a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang, an admission which stunned the court and people following the trial on social media.

Tekashi, whose birth name is Daniel Hernandez, is on trial for racketeering, drug trafficking, and other crimes, and was asked by prosecutors who Jones was.

“He's a retired rapper,” Hernandez said in a Manhattan federal courtroom.

“Is he a member of the Nine Trey Bloods gang?” prosecutors asked.

Hernandez replied, “Yes.”

Hernandez also named Cardi B as a member of the gang. She has publicly talked about her affiliation with the gang before, most recently in a 2018 profile by former GQ writer Caity Weaver.

“I used to pop off with my homies,” Cardi said. "And they'd say, 'Yo, you really get it poppin'. You should come home. You should turn Blood.' And I did. Yes, I did. And something that — it's not like, oh, you leave. You don't leave.”

However, in a statement to BuzzFeed News, a representative for Cardi said, "This news is not true."

Cardi herself, seemingly responding to the allegation, posted a video on Instagram of the much-used meme where actor Keke Palmer says, "Sorry to this man."

In a now-deleted tweet, Cardi said she was associated with a different set of Bloods called Brim, not Nine Trey.

Jones' representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, soul singer Fantasia Barrino offered advice on why she thinks many modern women are single today.

The 35-year-old married her hubby, Kendall Taylor, in 2011. She recently revealed that she was elated that her partner brought up the idea of a prenup before she did. The two seem to be deeply in love, so Fantasia shared what she thinks the key to their relationship is and spoke openly about why she thinks many women struggle to find love.

“Most women are trying to be a leader, that’s why you can’t find a man. You can’t be the king in the house. Fall back and be the queen and let your man lead the way,” she told the radio hosts.

She explained that men and women bump heads because they struggle with power dynamics.

“It’s a generational curse, and how society [has] placed our men. And how women have to stand up to be the mother, and the father and the provider. So now you are so bad that you can’t be told nothing. That when the right man come, you lose him because you’re trying to be the man,” she said.

Continuing, “At the end of the day, I’m the neck, my man’s the head. He can’t make any moves without his wife, you know what I mean? It all works together.”

When co-host Angela Yee offered that sometimes women don’t have a choice but to take on the dominant role, Fantasia doubled-down on it being a generational curse.

“You have to learn how to submit,” she urged.

Many women would willingly give over control to a significant other whom they deeply trust, unfortunately, there is deep healing needed within our communities to even foster an environment where we feel safe enough to let down our guard and let someone lead.

When Antonio Brown agreed to a one-year contract with the Patriots a little more than 24 hours before the first Sunday of the NFL season, it was supposed to be the end of the soap opera. A drama-filled summer with the Raiders had culminated in his release; now, he was joining the league’s most successful franchise. The distractions were sure to fade away under Bill Belichick, and the legendary head coach was sure to dismiss any that didn’t. Tom Brady was “a million percent in” on Brown joining the team, and even offered to put the receiver up in his homewhile he looked for a new one, according to a story relayed by Sunday Night Football play-by-play man Al Michaels. Brown’s arrival in Foxboro was going to, finally, make it all about football again.

That illusion didn’t last long. Brown’s first full week as a Patriot included a civil lawsuit filed against him by former trainer Britney Taylor, who alleged that she was the victim of several instances of sexual assault by Brown, including one in which Brown “forcibly raped” her at his residence in 2018. Taylor’s accusations are the most serious to be levied against Brown, but, as Sports Illustrated has learned, they are far from the only ones.

SI conducted interviews with more than two dozen people who have employed, worked for, coached, or played alongside Brown—some who have taken legal action against him, and others who have not—and reviewed police and court documents from jurisdictions ranging from Miami to Pittsburgh to Oakland. In a half-dozen lawsuits, he is accused of refusal to pay wages to former assistants and part-time employees. Court documents and interviews also suggest a pattern of disturbing, sometimes bizarre behavior—including, SI has learned, a second woman’s allegations of sexual misconduct by Brown. Neither Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, nor his lawyer, Darren Heitner, responded to SI’s emailed list of questions, seeking Brown’s responses to each of the accusations within this story. (UPDATE: After this story published, Heitner tweeted that Brown had reviewed the new sexual misconduct allegations against him and “denies that he ever engaged in such activities.”)

Antonio Brown, as detailed on The MMQB, has been sued by his former trainer, Britney Taylor, for sexual battery and related claims. Taylor, a former gymnast and operator of a training center in Memphis, claims that Brown raped her in his Miami home last year and inflicted other sexual harms against her in his Pittsburgh home in 2017.

Taylor’s complaint also includes screenshots of what her attorney describes as text messages sent by Brown to Taylor. In those purported texts, Brown seems threatening and volatile, and he also directs obscenities at Taylor. At this time, those messages have not been authenticated. Also, the context is unclear as they appear to be parts of longer “back-and-forth” conversations.

Through his representatives, Brown categorically rejects the accusations of sexual misconduct. Brown’s camp depicts Taylor as knowingly lying about her relationship with Brown in order to inflict harm on his NFL career. Brown’s camp also contends that Taylor is vengeful because Brown refused to invest $1.6 million in a business project that is depicted as a scheme to purchase property owned by Taylor and her mother. As to the alleged rape, representatives for Brown insist that it was consensual sex.

It does not appear that Taylor notified the Miami Police Department about her rape accusation, nor does it appear that she sought hospitalization services in the immediate aftermath. Taylor’s complaint asserts that she suffered significant emotional trauma and accompanying physical distress. Her complaint also suggests that she was able to go public with her account only after receiving counseling and other health services. Still, it is unexplained why, after feeling able to go public with her accusations, Taylor did not report the incident to the police but instead filed a lawsuit. Regardless, her civil complaint provides the Miami Police Department notice of the rape allegation. The police could now investigate and request to speak with Taylor and Brown. At this time, there is no indication that an investigation will take place.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith, a former prosecutor who President Donald Trump nominated to the court in April and who took office in July, will be the presiding judge.

During a recent phone interview with Rap Radar, the former music executive refuted ongoing claims that his relationship with Sara Molina more than platonic.

"That's not true at all. Everything that you hear online is coming from... I guess the PR team he's working with. I don't know who it is," Shotti told the reporter.

"We had a relationship as friends because, you know, we spent a lot of time together. But other than that, it's all made up. I don't even see why he would say that. That's embarrassing for him. I don't think he started the rumor."

"We definitely had a relationship, but it wasn't on the terms of having sex or nothing like that," he added. "It was all about family and friendship."

Molina herself has previously denied the claims. Elsewhere during his interview, Shotti suggested that 6ix9ine barely knows his current girlfriend Jade.

"Oh, that's his girl, though?" he said of Jade. "Yeah, I met her the same time he met her, like, my people paid for her fly out to LA for him to meet her, you know what I'm saying?"

"He probably met that girl six or seven days before he got arrested. They don't even know each other."

During an interview with Vlad TV earlier year, Sara Molina claimed that 6ix9ine got “a few” women pregnant during their relationship, adding that one of them may have been born. 

Soon after the interview was published, Shotti was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the 6ix9ine racketeering case.

A lawyer who represented rapper A$AP Rocky for a time during his lengthy legal saga in Sweden was reportedly shot multiple times on Friday.

Henrik Olssen Lilja was shot in the head and chest in a stairwell of an apartment building in Stockholm, Swedish newspaper Expressen reports.

Lilja first represented Rocky following his July arrest before being replaced by Slobodan Jovicic. Mia Edwall Insulander, the secretary general of the Swedish Bar Association, confirmed to CBS News that Lilja had been shot, and stated that he is alive and is currently in the hospital.

A woman, who is also a lawyer and who had been ordered not to contact Lilja, was arrested at the scene of the shooting on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Expressen. The woman’s name has not been released, but the paper reports that she is connected to Lilja in some way and has been convicted of a violent crime in the past. However, the gunman has been identified as a man.

Before the shooting, Lilja was seen wrestling with another man, one witness claimed, according to the Expressen. Despite being shot, Lilja was reportedly able to borrow a neighbor’s phone and call the police for help, and he was transported to the hospital via an ambulance that responded to the scene.

Following the shooting, a black SUV was reportedly observed fleeing the scene, and authorities are currently searching for the vehicle, as well as welcoming any tips regarding its whereabouts, according to the Expressen.

Police have stated that the shooting was an “isolated incident with no known connection to recent violent crimes,” according to CBS News.

“The police have arrested several people for questioning. The investigation is at an intense stage and the police are working on several different fronts to make progress,” the Swedish Police Authority said in a statement, according to The Hill.

Rocky and his two co-defendants were found guilty of assault last month, marking the end of a case that gained international attention. The 30-year-old rapper, born Rakim Mayers, avoided further jail time and was instead given a conditional sentence involving a two-year probationary period and various fines. The prosecutor in the case, who initially asked that Rocky be jailed for six months, has said that he will not appeal the ruling.
