His Life, Now! with David Hughes

The word of the cross (the narrative … the story … the message) is the power of God!  The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is literally three days and three nights that changed the world.  We are not just meant to be spectators of this redemptive work, but through faith in Jesus we are […]

The two disciples that encountered Jesus on the road to Emmaus on the morning of His resurrection had their eyes opened to who He really was when they sat with Him at the table and He began to break the bread.  So too will we have the eyes of our understanding opened to see Jesus […]

What God accomplished in Christ through redemption was not only a finished work, but a furnished work!  He has prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies.  And His table for us is a place of rest, it is a place of complete supply and it is a place of security and […]

We have been qualified by grace, but how do we come to the table?  It’s simply by faith – trust in Jesus!  That is the work of the new covenant … faith.  It’s not by our works that we achieve or maintain a place at the table of the Lord and it’s not by our […]

Our Heavenly Father is throwing a party and He has given a personal invitation to each one of us to come to His table and celebrate with Him.  He has invited the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind – no one is left out!  We will delve into questions such as… Why have […]

The writer of Psalm 42 says, “Why so downcast, oh my soul … put your hope in God!”  Those times we find out hearts heavy, burdened and discouraged we need to realize we are not without hope and we are not abandoned.  The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime and His song will […]

Without God’s love, nothing else truly matters.  When we learn more and more how to live loved it changes everything.  How we see the Lord, how we see others and how we see ourselves is drastically changed when seen through the eyes of love.  Faith works by love and without love we don’t have any […]

This is a very timely word from Dr. Lynn Hiles encouraging us to “tear off the roof” in a world of limitations to experience a life that flows from rest in Christ and to “shut the door” on all that would try to keep us from experiencing all that Jesus has provided through redemption.  Remember, […]
