In this message, Cas looks at the second temptation of Jesus, in particular by examining the scene where the temptation unfolded and pointing out its contrast from the desert scene of the first temptation; by highlighting the manner in which the enemy tried to trick Jesus and asking in which area of life Jesus was being tempted; and in concluding, by mentioning four lessons that we can learn and apply to our lives.

The message, aptly titled The Power of the Desert by Ps Jacques, is based on Matt 4:8-11 & the Testing of Jesus in the Desert. Throughout Scripture and the history of the church, the desert has been a place of spiritual preparation, purification, and transformation. Jacques pulls out powerful lessons for us from Jesus' overcoming of the devil's 1st test.

Based on Prov 14:1 & 2 Cor. 13:5, we're exhorted to examine ourselves & the everyday choices we're making, & whether we're building or breaking down our lives. In this Covid era, 'dust' can begin to settle. May we open our eyes to see where we are operating in the realm of blurry lines.
