VIGILANT IN FAITH!In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to become complacent, to let our guard down. However, Peter's words remind us to stay vigilant and alert in our faith journey. The imagery of a roaring lion seeking to devour highlights the reality of spiritual battles we face.

In Philippians chapter 3, Paul gives us three simple things that if we do them on a daily basis every day can bring what I am calling this message, a New Year’s Revolution. 

LIVE WISDOM, SHOW HUMILITY!James 3:13 In the pursuit of wisdom, James encourages us to not merely seek knowledge for its own sake but to embody it through a life of goodness and humility. True wisdom, according to James, is revealed not in eloquent words or clever arguments, but in the quality of our actions and the character of our lives.

TRUE OBEDIENCE!Matthew 7:21–23 In this passage, Jesus issues a sobering reminder that mere words and outward displays of religious fervor are not enough to secure a place in the kingdom of heaven. He emphasizes the importance of true obedience to the will of the Father.

DECEPTION OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS!2 Thessalonians 2:10–12 In these verses, the Apostle Paul warns the Thessalonian believers about the perilous nature of deception, especially the deception of unrighteousness. It's a sobering reminder that there is a choice before us — a choice to embrace the truth or to be ensnared by the lies of wickedness.

FINDING COMFORT IN BROKENNESS!Psalm 119:50Life is often marked by seasons of brokenness and hurt. We face challenges, disappointments, and pains that can leave us feeling shattered and weary. In those moments, where do we turn for solace? Where can we find comfort that goes beyond the temporary soothing of our wounds?

For the problem of sin, God made a promise that He would send a Savior.  From the time He made that promise, the number one item on His to do list, His main concern, His number one agenda was to keep that promise.  

SETTING GOALS WITH CONFIDENCE!As we approach the dawn of a new year, it's common to reflect on the past and look ahead with hopeful anticipation. In this season of setting goals and resolutions, let us draw inspiration and confidence from the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

A NEW BEGINNING!As the calendar turns to a new year, there's a sense of anticipation, a longing for fresh beginnings and renewed hope. In Isaiah 43:19, God speaks words of promise and assurance to His people: "See, I am doing a new thing!" These words invite us to open our hearts to the possibility of God's transformative work in the coming year.

A NEW CREATION!As we stand on the threshold of a new year, the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:17 resonate with profound truth and hope. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" These words carry a promise of transformation, renewal, and a fresh start that only God can provide.
