Hosea 3:1-5 is a powerful reminder of God's unwavering love for us, even when we have turned away from him. In these verses, the prophet Hosea is instructed by God to love a woman who has been unfaithful to him, just as God continues to love his people despite their unfaithfulness.

God's love is not just an emotion or a feeling, but an action. God showed his love for us by giving his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins.

Jesus gave us a clear warning about this in the Bible. Our example is the church in Laodicea. He talks about the church or the person that is Luke Warm. Here is what the Lord says in Revelation 3:15–16, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

It teaches us that love is patient and kind, it does not envy or boast, it is not rude or self-seeking, it does not take into account a wrong suffered, and it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
