A person with a beautiful soul is spiritual eye candy to someone mature enough to recognize the intangibles. We must look beyond the surface to see the heart of a person.

There’s a lot of responsibility that comes with being a Servant Leader. We’re selfish by nature, so it isn’t easy to constantly put someone else before ourselves. But it is our responsibility as husbands to uplift, encourage, support, and empower our wives to be the best version of themselves. By practicing agape love, sacrificial Godly love, the depth of our love will be on full display, because her joy will be a direct reflection of the husband & friend we continuously strive to be.

In a world where we’re constantly told to “do what makes you happy” and “follow your heart,” practicing the control of self seems contradictory. A foreign concept. Current events would lead one to consider self-control a dying art, for people are taking “follow your heart” to wicked extremes. In a dimming world full of toxicity, be a beacon of light who gives hope and encouragement.

Life is challenging, and the demands it places upon us are never-ending. And it’s easy for the attention of our loved ones to place second to our livelihoods. It’s not that we don’t care, it’s actually the opposite. Our responsibilities consume a tremendous amount of our time, the resource by which life flows. But the mistake we make is forgetting time is a limited resource. Finding balance can be difficult. Now is the time to make the necessary adjustments. You’re still breathing, so you still have time to make time.

In order to build stronger relationships, it is imperative we ask questions and actively listen, because formulating an opinion based on past experiences alone can lead you both down the wrong path. We must turn off the autopilot and be fully present in our relationships. Without true connection there is no foundation. Without a solid foundation there is no stability. Without stability there is no peace. Without peace there is no love.
