The history of calendars begins with the practices of the very first sophisticated humans- stemming from their ancient roots, people created and used various methods to keep and track of the days and larger divisions of time, these Calendars were developed to serve cultural , spiritual and practical purposes and were often connected to astronomy and agriculture.some representations emerged as pictorial , while others followed the development of counting and arithmetic, depending on the varying level of sophistication present in each particular culture, so that in different parts of the world these calanders wouldnt always align with eachother as different methods of counting days and months and observing the heavens were used , allot of the time focusing on a relevance unique to each society ..today on the thought rebellion we take a look at the history of calendar useage and highlight some of the similarities and differences , with a mind to frame how we use them to keep time from their inception, right up to the present day
