Historic. Biblical. Spirit Filled. - St. Andrew's Church

Why tongues? It was a unifying experience (Acts 2). And yet James says that the tongue can't be tamed. But look what the Holy Spirit did! The speaking in tongues builds up the faith of the believer. And yet again, humility stands guard at every significant passage in the Christian's life.

Let's be a people that LONG for God like Simeon. Let's make room for Him and create the space in us for the Holy Spirit to move in us and through us.

Faith is receiving. When Jesus asks us "What can I do for you? Let us open our hands and answer Him and then receive it.

Bishop Ron gives a report of his recent trips and teaches from Matthew 8:1-11, reminding us that if we want to see God do some big things (which He is doing...) then we need to follow Him in the little things. There are people being drawn from the East and the West, don't miss it by being religious... even the disciples had to be taught by Jesus.

Series continues on the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8-9 Jesus, as our example, lived a life of love and power (authority) which expressed itself with signs and miracles, yes, but also remarkably in SERVICE. Do you want the Love and Power without the Service? Matthew 8, Luke 9

Jesus restores what was once was; because He loves you; not because He wants to change you or fix you, but to transform you and restore you.

Series continues on "The Work and Person of the Holy Spirit." The Holy Spirit is working in power all around us and through us and that's what we "bear witness" to;, that's the evidence. So let's learn God's language so that when He speaks to us by His Spirit, we can recognize it and then assign meaning to it.

Consider who is Jesus to you? The Real Jesus was the Son of God, the "In whom I am well pleased," and beloved.

Jesus ascended having given the disciples Authority, and the Holy Spirit descended and gave them Power (and they were filled with Joy! What a change!).

God is present and active on our behalf. Look for where He is and where we can find our part (our "terraces") in the bigger (and sometimes longer) plan.
