Come with us on our investigation of the political cartoon "Remember Pearl Harbor". In this episode, we will cover the basics of source analysis and uncover the motive and value of the cartoon. This resource was specifically made for classroom use. 

In this episode, I speak to Quirindi Highschool Year 11 students Jedd, Taylor and Chase. This is their first time on the POD and they killed it. Each student was given the job of analysing a different source that related to Pearl Harbor and its bombing on December 7th 1941. Most importantly, displaying the skills of DAMMIT. 

The following episode is welcome to the new and hello again to the regular. I had so many projects I wanted to update people on so I decided to give a general recap of the top 5 things. 

We are back with our first student episode for the year. This is a revision episode for the Australian national study and will cover the following areas:

1) What was it like for Australian soldiers returning home after WWI?

2) What were Australia's economic plans for a post-war boom in the 1920s?

3) Had the lives of women in Australia shifted? and if so to what extent?

If you only learn two things from this book, please let it be the following. Firstly, extreme identity politics is a cancer that poisons your soul. Never let an ideology, race, gender, trend or religion consume your entire identity; otherwise, you will have no room left in your heart for the other. You are a complicated, loving and sometimes messed-up human being. Therefore, you must accept that empathy is the only thing dividing you from a stranger. Secondly, there is nothing wrong with defending yourself, but remember that there is always time to return to the negotiating table. The longer a conflict, the more it escalates, and the higher the cost of peace rises.
