Skeeter Spaulding is a Chaplain with Cowboys for Christ who does ministry at horse shows and rodeos. He met a Black Cowboy at the St. Jude Rodeo in Ringgold, Georgia. The first thing Skeeter did as chaplain was introduce himself and ask if he could pray for him before his ride. This ignited a desire in Skeeter to learn more, and he introduced Tom and Tabi to the book, History of Black Cowboys in Texas by Sara Massey.
