Dicks, the history of dicks. I know you wondered why the name Richard got shortened a dick. I did too. So I looked it up. Apparently Richard is a very old dramatic name. It is pronounced slightly differently back then. I can't speak German, so I'm not going to try to do it. But in the 1800s, though, apparently they would shorten things for the purposes of writing them down. Yeah, remember those days you use a pen and a pencil? Not even a pen back there. Just the pencil. Actually, I don't know what they use. Maybe it's chalk, but they would shorten things. So Richard became Rick which became Dick. And Rick Dick rhyme they liked it, Dick stuck. Some famous dicks you should know about our Dick Butkus, Dick Tracy, Dick Kevin Dick Paul, that's a real name, John Holmes. They're all amazing dicks. And today if you're called dick, it probably means you're a jerk or if you're referring to your the male anatomy, that can be that too. Or maybe your name is just Richard.
