In Episode 1 of History With Saumya’s first season, we dwell on the glorious history of Lucknow, which is rightly called the ‘Nawabon Ka Shehar’ or the ‘City of Nawabs’.
From the 18th century trivia of how Lucknow was made the capital of Awadh because of an upset Nawab’s whim to the story of how the juicy and immensely popular Tunday Ke Kabab came into existence, this episode covers it all. The history of Chikankari in Lucknow has also been explored in this episode as well as the fascinating folklore behind several of the majestic monuments in the city.
