Episode 10: Reedley College head coach Steve Pearse joins us. We discuss his playing career from El Cerrito High School to the legendary 1988 Bulldogs club that went to Omaha. Also his start in coaching, from Laney College to Fresno State to UCLA....and three trips to the CWS! Twice as a coach and once as a player. He also tells us about his interview process for the Reedley College coaching job and gives us some great insight to his program. Enjoy!

News of the local official's contracts not being finalized was Breaking News that seems to have been resolved....the officials are going to get the pay increase they asked for....but we ask if this could open the door for talks regarding coaching stipends? Coaches are paid far less than officials and spend 9 to 10 months a year with their specific programs. They go on to discuss multi-sport athletes, some MLB topics include the MLB game to take place at the Field of Dreams location, Will Clark #22 being retired by the Giants and should the numbers actually be retired? Kevin Kiermaier made a great play the other day and also made some statements one could consider questionable. Jason also gives us some insight in to the Fresno Easter Classic, the challenges they face and the work it takes to put on such a large event. Episode 8: Jake and Chad sit down with long-time Fresno City baseball coach Ron Scott. Ron is entering his 32nd season as the FCC head coach and currently second all-time in wins with 1,037. They discuss his playing days at the University of Miami and his time with the Portland Mavericks. Ron also talks about his coaching journey to Fresno City College and taking over for hall of fame coach Len Bourdet.
