毎度ですけど、今回は特に話がとっ散らかってしまいました。暑さのせいですかね。どうです？皆さん、倒れてないですか？2年前、夏に外回りの仕事をしていた時は何度か意識が朦朧として熱中症になりかけていたのを思い出しました。仕事において、夏は外出禁止令か、手厚い危険手当でも支給してほしいです。

As always, my thoughts were kind of all over the place this time—but especially so.

Maybe it’s the heat?

How’s everyone doing—holding up okay out there?

I was reminded of a couple summers ago when I had to do fieldwork in the middle of summer.

There were times I nearly passed out from heat exhaustion.

Honestly, in jobs like that, we need either a strict no-going-outside policy or some seriously generous hazard pay during summer.
