少し前から保育士免許が欲しいなと思っていたのですが、いよいよ本格的に勉強を始めました。来年度の前期合格を目指して地道に進めていきます。仕事でも将来的に諸々やりたい事があるので、ここ数年は土台作りですかね。ポッドキャストは勉強の息抜きになるので、もちろん続けていきます。一発合格の確率大体15%前後くらいっぽいです。仕事や制作しながらいけるのかどうか…。

I’ve been thinking about getting a childcare license for a while now, and I finally decided to start studying seriously.

My goal is to pass the first half of the exam next year, so I’ll be chipping away at it little by little.

There are a few things I’d like to do in the future work-wise, so I guess these next few years are all about building a solid foundation.

The podcast will still be going, of course—it’s the perfect break from studying.

I’ve heard the pass rate for first-time test takers is around 15%, so… we’ll see how it goes while juggling work and creative projects.

8/23(土)に東京都立産業貿易センター浜松町館で開催されたZINE FEST 写真に参加してきました。久しぶりの参加でしたが、友人との出展や何度か購入し合っている作家さん、リピーターになってくれている方々始め、多くの方にご来店いただきました。まずは、皆さんありがとうございました。今回のイベントで一区切りついたのもあり、今後は緩やかに制作を進めていけたらなと思います。販売自体は売り切れてしまったZINEが出たり、ポストカードが人気だったりと嬉しい反応をいただきました。特に透かして見るZINEは、売り切れの「UNNATURAL 」、「echoes」の増刷と新作の制作を検討しているので楽しみにしていてください。

I took part in ZINE FEST Photograph on August 23rd at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center in Hamamatsuchō.

It was my first time joining in a while, but I got to exhibit alongside friends, catch up with fellow creators I’ve swapped ZINEs with before, and chat with returning visitors who’ve supported me in the past.

To everyone who stopped by—thank you so much!

This event felt like a nice little milestone, so from here on, I’m planning to take things a bit slower with production.

That said, I was really happy with the response—some ZINEs sold out, and the postcards were surprisingly popular!

Especially the “see-through” style ZINEs—UNNATURAL and echoes—both sold out, so I’m planning to reprint them and maybe even make a new one. Stay tuned!

Also—these in-person events are seriously fun.

Lately I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed—lots going on and not much room to breathe.

Work is one thing, but I’m also scrambling to get ready for ZINE FEST Shashin, happening this Saturday at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center in Hamamatsuchō.

I’ll be at booth A-6, in the back left corner near the entrance.

Based on past events, that spot doesn’t usually get much traffic early on, so… I’m bracing myself.

Do you still use mechanical pencils now that you’re an adult?

I used them all the time back in school, but these days it’s mostly ballpoint pens or FriXion pens for me.

I was browsing recently and found that the Staedtler 925-25 looks and feels pretty nice.

There were times I nearly passed out from heat exhaustion.

メイン機として使用しているSIGNA fpとその兄弟機fp Lが公式より生産完了のお知らせがありました。独特なフォルムや癖のある使い心地など、完全に人を選ぶカメラですが、生産完了ともなると寂しいですね。後継機はBFに置き換わったのか、それとも新型が出るのか。どちらにしても、私は持っているfpをまだまだ使い倒します。

SIGMA officially announced the end of production for the fp and its sibling, the fp L—both of which I’ve been using as my main cameras.

They definitely have a unique shape and quirky handling that isn’t for everyone… but still, hearing that production’s ending feels kind of bittersweet.

Maybe the new BF series is meant to replace them? Or maybe a new model is coming?

Either way, I’ll be sticking with my trusty fp and using it to the fullest.

やっと映画「国宝」を観てきました。邦画はあまり観ない私ですが、あの映画は観た方がいいです。しかも、映画館で観るべき作品です。見終わった後の、ゾクゾクした感覚は数日間続き、2度3度観ても楽しめる作品だと感じました。自分の語彙力がもっとあればネタバレせずに話せるのに…。確実に近年最高峰の映画のひとつです。

I finally went to see the movie Kokuhō (National Treasure).

I don’t usually watch Japanese films, but this one is a must-see—especially in a theater.

That lingering, spine-tingling feeling I had after watching it stayed with me for days.

It’s definitely a film you can enjoy multiple times.

If only I had better vocabulary, I could talk about it without spoiling anything…

But honestly, it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in recent years.

今週日曜日の投稿をすっ飛ばしてしまいました…。表題のハンドメイドフェス（HMJ2025）に行っていたのもあり、時間なく「ま、いいかっ」の感覚でお流れしてしまい反省の念はあまりありません。

話は変わるんですけど、最近運がいいんですよ。つい先日、帰宅途中に鳥のフンを喰らいました。しかも素手に。それからというものの「運」気が上昇している気がします。過去にも同じことがあり、その時は実家に新しく犬が来た当日に抱っこしていてフンをされました。その１年間は結構良いことが多く、プラシーボかもしれないけど不幸中の幸いとなっています。

あまり信仰心とか気とかに興味ないですけど、都合のいい時だけ取り入れていこうかなって思います。

I ended up totally skipping Sunday’s episode this week…

Part of it was because I went to the Handmade Japan Festival (HMJ2025), and with everything going on, I just didn’t have time.

And honestly? I kind of let it slide with a “well, oh well” mindset—so… not much regret here.

Changing the subject a bit… I’ve been kind of lucky lately.

Just the other day, I got pooped on by a bird on my way home.

And not just anywhere—on my bare hand.

Oddly enough, things have been going pretty well ever since.

Actually, the same thing happened years ago.

Back then, the day our family got a new dog, it pooped on me while I was holding it—and that year turned out to be full of good things.

So maybe it’s just a placebo, but honestly, it feels like a little stroke of luck wrapped in misfortune.

I’m not really into superstitions or spiritual vibes, but I might start borrowing those ideas when it suits me.
