Join Scott, Kevin and Sarah as they breakdown and review the first episode of the latest television entry in Marvel’s ever-expanding Cinematic Universe: Inhumans. Listen as they talk about the story behind this miniseries, from a scrapped future movie, to an edited IMAX release, to finally, a poorly reviewed series. They’ll also talk about the history of these characters, dating back to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby creations from the 1960’s and a fictional city that’s even older! What made this series get such bad reviews? Why did Marvel fans loathe this live action adaptation of classic comic book characters? Well, laugh along with us and find out. Just don’t ask “Whhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?”

This is part one of our review of the Inhumans’ two-episode premiere. Look for part two very soon!

Join Scott and his special guest, resident Star Wars expert Paul (in a rare, live in-studio appearance) as they breakdown every little detail of the new trailer for the highly anticipated second installment in the new Star Wars trilogy: "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi"! Listen as they discuss what this trailer shows us, and if it's an accurate depiction of what we'll see in the movie. Is Snoke looking to upgrade his apprentice from Kylo Ren to Rey? Will Rey turn to the dark side of the force? Are Porgs a good sign for Star Wars fans? Will Luke or Leia die in this film? These are just some of the questions they address. They'll also talk about some of the new elements of the film: our first look at Snoke (not in holographic form), the salty mineral planet Crait, the new AT-M6 walkers, (sigh) Porgs, and much more. Will The Last Jedi be a ripoff of The Empire Strikes Back? Will they flip the script and have the protagonist turn evil in the darkest Star Wars installment yet? Or does the trailer just have a bunch of force visions cut together to confuse us? Let's guess together! May the force be with us!

Join Scott, Shawn and Jonah as they take a look back at one of the most sharp and irreverent cartoons of the 90's: "Animaniacs"! Listen as they breakdown and review the second episode of the series, featuring Yakko singing a somewhat accurate list of countries in the classic segment "Nations of the World", the Warner brothers (and Warner sister) trying to earn merit badges in Switzerland by selling Kid Scout cookies to a frustrated Albert Einstein in "Cookies For Einstein", and our introduction to two genetically altered lab mice named Pinky and The Brain who attempt to take home prize money on a TV quiz show in "Win Big". They'll talk about the history of the series from a Fox Kids cartoon with Steven Spielberg's backing to a mainstay of Kids WB, and possibly beyond. They'll also point out some of the loving references to old Hollywood, nitpick Yakko's idea of which lands are actually nations, reveal the big secret behind Pinky and The Brain's big scheme, and much, much more! So grab a box of cookies and a cup of Swiss Miss, turn off Wheel of Misfortune and get zany to the max with us! Hellooooooooooo Nurse!!!

(And also, Shawn takes a couple of minutes at the end to share his thoughts on Star Trek: Discovery.)

Join Scott and Hamish for an interesting look back at a very strange and short-lived TV show from the early 80s, the Star Wars themed sitcom "The Cantina". Listen as they discuss this odd and long forgotten series starring Billy Crystal as the struggling Mos Eisley cantina barkeep Blorp and his one employee, the clumsy, yet ambitious wolf man Grunchy, played by Tony Danza. They'll talk about the many factors that ultimately led to the show getting cancelled after three episodes: its poor props and makeup, its silly acting, and most of all, its frequent commercial breaks. With a decently famous cast, (along with guest stars like Ed O'Neill, Craig T. Nelson, and Sally Field) and the Star Wars mythos backing it up, how could a show like this possibly fail? Very easily, it turns out. So put down your lightsaber mop, grab a sugar glass mug of bantha milk and listen to whatever this thing is!

Oh, and if you've read this far, you deserve to know that this is a fake show we made up for our Hitting Play commercial clip show. Hope you get a chuckle out of it!

Join Scott, Kevin, and Hamish as they welcome special guest Lucas to help them review and breakdown the highly controversial Brazil-themed episode of The Simpsons: "Blame It On Lisa"! Listen as Lucas gives his unique perspective on the many aspects of his home country portrayed in the episode. They'll talk about the popularity of The Simpsons in Brazil, the backlash this episode received, if Lisa's travel tips for Homer are true, the massive celebrity status of Xuxa, and lots of talk about Brazilian food and culture! Why did this episode anger an entire nation? Pour yourself some guarana soda, enjoy some rodízio from the local churrascaria and find out! Aproveite o show! Abóbora! Cogumelo!

Join Scott, Hamish, and Kevin for a look back at a cartoon with one of the worst premises in the history of television: the atrocious "Happy Days" animated sci-fi spinoff "The Fonz and The Happy Days Gang"! Listen as they breakdown and review the second episode of the series, "May the Farce Be With You", in which The Fonz, Ritchie Cunningham, Ralph Malph, the anthropomorphic dog Mr. Cool, and a super-powered girl from the 25th century named Cupcake accidentally travel to outer space in the year 2057 and try to stop an alien robot queen from destroying the earth with a laser beam. (Y'know, like a typical Happy Days story!) They'll talk about Garry Marshall's wildly popular sitcom "Happy Days" and how even its infamous "jumping the shark" moment wasn't as bad as this abysmal Saturday morning cartoon. From logic-bending powers and an incomprehensible plot to lackluster action and an intro by none other than famed disc jockey Wolfman Jack, this has everything you don't want in a TV show. So pull the lever, fire up those star jets, and endure this mess with us! Ayyyyyyyyyyyy!

Join Scott and Kevin as they take a look back an an obscure Hanna-Barbera cartoon centered around a larger-than-life character who was a real-life pop culture powerhouse: "Mister T"! Listen as they breakdown the glorious episode "Mystery of the Golden Medallions", in which gymnastics coach Mr. T leads his team around the unrealistically steep streets of San Francisco and attempt to solve a convoluted mystery involving gold chains (not his, amazingly), a missing little brother, and stolen video game programming-all while struggling to welcome a new gymnast to the team: Woody Daniels, played by Phil Lamarr in his first credited role! They'll also discuss some of the strange supporting characters such as the annoying Spike, the disturbing Dozer, Jeff the idiot, and many more! From inaccurate math and physics that is totally bananas, to a head scratching plot and hilarious animation mistakes, this has it all! So engage your emergency brake, hide your gold jewelry, and shake your head back and forth in bewilderment along with us! Pity us fools!

Join Scott and Hamish as they take a look back at what is technically the very first X-Men movie, the 1996 made-for-TV: "Generation X"! Listen as they review this feature length TV movie that was also a failed pilot for a possible series. They'll compare the original members of the team that are seen in the Uncanny X-Men and Generation X comic books to their live-action counterparts. They'll also discuss the new characters that were created just for this production, the interesting acting choices of Matt Frewer, scenes that were cut or reshot for television, and the possible impact that a picked up Generation X series would have on the X-Men cinematic franchise that would start only four years later. From cheesy CGI and X-ray vision, to accents and dream webs, they'll review it all! So put on your dream helmet and ride the white light as you laugh along with us! Zap!

Join Scott, Hamish, Kevin, and Matt as they welcome a very special guest to the show, "Mystery Science Theater 3000" lead puppeteer Grant Baciocco! Listen as they discuss the long awaited return of MST3K, thanks to a very successful crowdfunding campaign and years of loyal fan devotion. Grant will share his personal experiences leading up to his work with Crow T. Robot, such as being a puppeteer for the Jim Henson Company, working for Cinematic Titanic, and even getting to open for Weird Al Yankovic! He'll talk about being a diehard MST3K fan who now gets to operate Crow (as well as voice and operate new bot Waverly!), what's involved for the team of puppeteers working on the new MST3K, and what it's like working with creator Joel Hodgson and the talented cast. The group will also discuss the new MST3K episodes, including their early favorites, lines they loved, various visual gags (flying Tom Servo? Yes!), and so much more!
