Expectations are starting to rise. This is what off-seasons are for. While fans of the Charlotte Hornets have many reasons to be hopeful, our host, Joshua Balta, cautions them to be optimistic for the future but not overly fanatical about the season to come.

The Charlotte Hornets have had a great summer. Hiring Charles Lee, filling out his staff, trading for a defensive-minded guard in Josh Green, taking a chance on a high-upside prospect in Salaün, adding veteran leadership in Taj Gibson and Seth Curry, going 7-1 across all competitions this summer, and building a true culture/identity within the organization.
