Por segunda vez me animo a participar en esta iniciativa. La semana pasada estaba preparando una canción para compartirles pero, entre la duda de no saber si sonaba bien y mis distintas ocupaciones y deberes, se me fue la semana y perdí la oportunidad de participar.
Hello, friends of Hive Open Mic and 3speak!
For the second time I am encouraged to participate in this initiative. Last week I was preparing a song to share with you but, between the doubt of not knowing if it sounded good and my different occupations and duties, the week went away and I lost the opportunity to participate.
Así que esta semana intenté dejar de ser tan exigente e inconforme conmigo mismo y decidí aceptar mi sonido a pesar de mis limitaciones como cantante e instrumentista, y prepare este sencillo que me trae muchos recuerdos de mi época en el colegio y liceo. Yo estudie desde pre-escolar hasta 9no grado en un colegio católico, asi que el tema de esta semana me sirvió para recordar esas canciones que nos enseñaron a cantar en esos más de nueve años que pasé siendo alumno de esa institución.
So this week I tried to stop being so demanding and nonconformist with myself and decided to accept my sound despite my limitations as a singer and instrumentalist, and prepared this single that brings back many memories of my time in school and high school. I studied from pre-school to 9th grade in a catholic school, so this week's theme was useful for me to remember those songs that taught us to sing in those more than nine years that I spent as a student of that institution.
Aparte de no ser cantante, tengo mucho tiempo sin practicar seriamente con la guitarra, o con el bajo (mi instrumento principal), en gran parte por desánimo y un poco de pereza. Así que aprovecho de pedir a Dios que cambie para bien mi corazón, mi mamera de actuar y me ayude a ser constante y a tener fuerza de voluntad para seguir haciendo lo que me gusta y apasiona.
Apart from not being a singer, I have a long time without practicing seriously with the guitar, or with the bass (my main instrument), mostly because of discouragement and a bit of laziness. So I take this opportunity to ask God to change for good my heart, my way of acting and help me to be constant and to have willpower to continue doing what I like and am passionate about.
