Greetings mi familia, welcome to the 274th week of Hive Open Mic, I am @coderaikiri and fit my entry I'll be presenting a song titled when we were young.
Now I know this song might not even feel like it has anything to do with the theme of the week Mermaid but if you look deeper than just the surface, there are similarities. First of when we were is song that explains the love life of two people who have grown apart largely to the fact of getting older and so they both acted rashly. However one of the lover is still hoping they can re-ignite the old flame or at least she's reminiscing about the past.
If you've watched the cartoon mermaids you'll see that Ariel a mermaid fell in love with a human prince and longed to be part of his world even when the odds looked like it was impossible, if you try relating that cartoon and this song you'll see that they both have a lot in common.
When we were young is not just a song about love lost, it is young about making mistakes, hoping for something better and wishing to make amends. Adele truly captured the essence of young love and I hope y'all like it.
