First of all, I want to thank the Hive Open Mic community for always keeping this space alive. It’s more than just sharing music—it really feels like a place where we grow, learn, and connect through what we do every week. I’m grateful to still be part of it.
Antes que nada, quiero agradecer a la comunidad de Hive Open Mic por mantener este espacio vivo. Es más que solo compartir música—realmente se siente como un lugar donde crecemos, aprendemos y conectamos a través de lo que hacemos cada semana. Estoy agradecido de seguir siendo parte de esto.
For this week’s theme, “I know what’s coming,” I didn’t want to go for something too loud or dramatic. I felt more drawn to something calm but deep. So I chose “Abre” by Manu, a song that, for me, speaks about opening yourself—especially in moments where you don’t fully see everything yet, but somehow you feel that something is ahead.
Para el tema de esta semana, “I know what’s coming,” no quise hacer algo muy intenso o dramático. Me sentí más conectado con algo tranquilo pero profundo. Por eso elegí “Abre” de Manu, una canción que para mí habla de abrirse—especialmente en esos momentos donde no ves todo claramente, pero de alguna forma sientes que algo viene.
I kept the arrangement simple, just acoustic guitar and voice. Nothing too heavy. I wanted it to feel a bit personal, like one of those moments where you just sit and play without overthinking too much.
Mantuve el arreglo simple, solo guitarra acústica y voz. Nada muy cargado. Quise que se sintiera un poco personal, como esos momentos donde simplemente te sientas a tocar sin pensar demasiado.
This song, in a quiet way, connects with the theme. Sometimes “knowing what’s coming” is not about being sure—it’s more like a small inner sense, something that tells you to stay open.
Esta canción, de una forma tranquila, conecta con el tema. A veces “knowing what’s coming” no es estar completamente seguro—es más como una pequeña sensación interna que te dice que te mantengas abierto.
