Hello and welcome to the first podcast episode of the 2020-2021 school year. I am happy to be back with you and feeling a great deal of emotions as we head into the new school year. Last week we ran in person orientations for new students to the high school to discuss what to be prepared for as well as some tips for success. This podcast episode is a recording of the virtual Redwing orientation we had that was accessible to incoming Redwings and their parents. Staff members that we had in the meeting were Principal Piccapietra, Vice-Principal Ponce, Vice-Principal Piccini, Coordinator of the Student Center Dr. Cecilia D’elia, and Francesca Cangeloso who is a mental health practitioner at the student center.
Ways to support the student center:
Submit public testimony to the Legislative Budget and Finance Office to ask them not to pass a budget that eliminates school-based youth service programs. The committee is accepting testimony on the FY 2021 budget through Friday, September 11, 2020. To send testimony via e-mail, please use this address: [email protected] Upon receipt your testimony will be circulated to and thoroughly reviewed by committee members and staff and made available to the public via the Legislature’s website.
