This week we are talking about the movie Hocus Pocus. This a family, comedy, horror Disney movie starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The Sanderson sisters are witches living in Salem Massachusetts in the 1600's. They steal the soul of a young girl and are hung by the local town people. Winifred Sanderson manages to cast a spell so she and her sisters will be brought back to life when a virgin lights a magic candle. 

Flash forward to 1993 when young Max lights the candle to impress Allison the Sanderson sisters reappear to take another child's soul so they can live beyond the night.

Hocus Pocus is fun, family-friendly, Halloween movie. It's silly, wacky, and very Disney, but that's not a bad thing. We think you will enjoy Hocus Pocus. We always do. Enjoy!
