November 19: God blesses in all stages of life.

Psalms 70:4-5:
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; and let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay.

Psalms 71:4-19:
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth. By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You. I have become as a wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge. Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day. Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.For my enemies speak against me; and those who lie in wait for my life take counsel together, saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.”
O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries of my life; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek my hurt. But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day, for I do not know their limits. I will go in the strength of the Lord God; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only. O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come. Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?


We are going to study two psalms. The first is a short psalm which, according to the title, is a commemorative psalm. It is a psalm that in the first verses makes a cry to the Lord for salvation and protection, very similar to the others, but at the end it expresses blessings for those who seek the Lord. And he ends with a phrase of hope, asking the Lord to please listen to him even though he is in a situation of need and poverty. Nice words to memorize for anyone who feels helpless but who wants to be helped and satiated by the hand and power of God in their life when they cry out for the only effective source of blessing.

The next psalm is a psalm of reflection. The psalmist as always was asking the Lord for protection. Let us remember that David was attacked by many enemies outside who wanted to invade Israel, he also had enemies within the kingdom who wanted to usurp David's throne but from all these attacks God freed and saved him.
This psalm is different because David made an analysis of God's hand on him at all stages of his life.
David wrote that God sustained him since he was in his mother's womb, God chose him from before he was born; and that from an early age, since he was an infant, God kept his life from evil. David testified that God is the One who has given him assurance, instructed and taught him from his youth. This is a nice observation because we can see that David from his youth was seeking the things of God unlike many young people who at that age are seeking to experience sinful and harmful things.
Twice he wrote about God's influence on him when he was young, but the psalmist was at a point where he was thinking about his old age. Like any of us who are sometimes terrified of thinking about what our future will be like in old age, David here also expressed his concern about the time when he will be an old man.
David wanted to ensure his "retirement", he wanted to be sure that God will not abandon him or forget him when his strength wanes, when he cannot draw a sword, when his vision is shortened, when his physical bearing is not so impetuous. David did not want his enemies to take advantage of his old age.
King David made a promise to the Lord that if God continues to bless him as He has been doing since he was in his mother's womb, he would praise Him all the days of his life and tell others about the wonders of God until he is old. I think that is why David was a man who lived and reigned for many years, because God was pleased to hear David sing songs, play melodies with wind instruments and strings, declaim poems and exclaim the greatness of God throughout Israel.

I hope this psalm has encouraged us to be true worshipers, faithful followers of Jesus Christ and that we encourage in our families that strong faith in our God who has blessed our babies and children, the young, the adults and the elderly. Each member of the family has been able to see the power of God every day of their life as we grow and mature in this world, and I hope that we will all be together in eternity.

Noviembre 19: Dios bendice en todas las etapas de vida.

Salmos 70:4‭-‬5 RVA2015:
Gócense y alégrense en ti todos los que te buscan. Digan siempre los que aman tu salvación: “¡Dios sea engrandecido!”. Aunque yo sea pobre y necesitado, ¡apresúrate y ven a mí, oh Dios! Tú eres mi ayuda y mi libertador. ¡Oh SEÑOR, no te tardes!

Salmos 71:4‭-‬19 RVA2015:
..... Oh Dios, no te alejes de mí; Dios mío, apresúrate a socorrerme. Sean avergonzados y desfallezcan los adversarios de mi alma. Sean cubiertos de vergüenza y de confusión los que buscan mi mal. Pero yo siempre esperaré; te alabaré más y más. Mi boca proclamará tu justicia y tu salvación todo el día, aunque no sepa enumerarlas. Celebraré los poderosos hechos del SEÑOR Dios; haré memoria de tu justicia, que es solo tuya. Oh Dios, tú me has enseñado desde mi juventud; hasta ahora he manifestado tus maravillas. Aun en la vejez y en las canas no me desampares, oh Dios, hasta que proclame a la posteridad las proezas de tu brazo, tu poderío a todos los que han de venir, y tu justicia, oh Dios, hasta lo sumo. Porque has hecho grandes cosas. ¡Oh Dios, quién como tú!


Vamos a estudiar dos salmos. El primero es un salmo corto que según el título es un salmo de conmemoración. Es un salmo que en los primeros versos hace un clamor al Señor por salvación y protección, muy semejante a los demás, pero al final expresa bendiciones para los que buscan al Señor. Y termina con una frase de esperanza, pidiéndole al Señor que, por favor, lo escuche aunque esté en una situación de necesidad y pobreza. Bonitas palabras a memorizar para todo aquel que se sienta desamparado pero que desea ser socorrido y saciado de la mano y el poder de Dios en su vida cuando clama a la única fuente efectiva de bendición.

El siguiente salmo es un salmo de reflexión. El salmista como siempre estaba pidiéndole protección al Señor. Recordemos que David era atacado por muchos enemigos afuera que querían invadir a Israel, también tenía enemigos dentro del reino que querían usurpar el trono de David pero de todos estos ataques Dios lo libraba.
Este salmo es diferente porque David hizo un análisis de la mano de Dios sobre él en todas las etapas de su vida.
David escribió que Dios lo sustentaba desde que estaba en el vientre de su madre, Dios lo escogió desde antes de nacer; y que desde temprana edad, desde que era un infante, Dios guardaba su vida del mal. David testificó que Dios es el que le ha dado seguridad, lo ha instruido y enseñado desde su juventud. Esta es una bonita observación porque podemos ver que David desde su juventud estaba buscando las cosas de Dios a diferencia de muchos jóvenes que en esa edad están buscando experimentar las cosas pecaminosas y dañinas.
Dos veces escribió sobre la influencia de Dios en él cuando era joven, pero el salmista se encontraba en un punto donde estaba pensando en su vejez. Como a cualquiera de nosotros que nos aterroriza a veces pensar cuál será el futuro nuestro en la vejez, David también mostró aquí su preocupación acerca del tiempo cuando sea un anciano.
David quería asegurar su "jubilación", quería estar seguro de que Dios no lo abandonará ni se olvidará de él cuando sus fuerzas mengüen, cuando no pueda desenvainar una espada, cuando su visión se acorte, cuando su porte físico no sea tan impetuoso. David no quería que sus enemigos tomaran ventaja de su avanzada edad.
El rey David hizo una promesa al Señor de que si Dios lo continúa bendiciendo así como lo ha estado haciendo desde que estaba en el vientre de su madre, lo alabaría todos los días de su vida y contaría a otros acerca de las maravillas de Dios hasta cuando esté anciano. Pienso que por eso David fue un hombre que vivió y reinó por muchos años, pues Dios se agradaba al escuchar a David entonar cantos, tocar melodías con instrumentos de viento y cuerdas, declamar poemas y exclamar en todo Israel las grandezas de Dios.

Espero que este salmo nos haya animado a ser verdaderos adoradores, fieles seguidores de Jesucristo y a que fomentemos en nuestras familias esa fe fuerte en nuestro Dios que ha bendecido a nuestros bebés y niños, a los jóvenes, los adultos y los ancianos. Cada miembro de la familia ha podido ver el poder de Dios cada día de su vida a medida que vamos creciendo y madurando en este mundo, y espero que estemos todos juntos en la eternidad.

¿Has visto la mano de Dios de forma especial y extraordinaria en las diferentes etapas de crecimiento en tu vida?
¿También lo ven los miembros de tu hogar?

La obra de Dios en el ciego fue un defecto perfecto! Dios conocía el corazón humilde de este ciego que se dejó escupir, untar lodo, recibió órdenes ridiculas y denigrantes, no escucho las risas de los presentes, no cuestiono la explicación de Jesús, no reaccionó negativamente ante el proceso del milagro, no cuestiono sus órdenes, simplemente creyó que no tenía nada que perder pero mucho que ganar!

2 Y le preguntaron sus discípulos, diciendo: Rabí, ¿quién pecó, éste o sus padres, para que haya nacido ciego?

November 18: When a Tsunami comes against your family.

Psalm 69:16-18:
Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing;
I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God. Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they are mighty who would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully; though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.
O God, You know my foolishness; and my sins are not hidden from You. Let not those who wait for You, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed because of me; let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel. Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. I have become a stranger to my brothers, and an alien to my mother’s children; because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me. When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting, that became my reproach. I also made sackcloth my garment; I became a byword to them. Those who sit in the gate speak against me, and I am the song of the drunkards.
But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, hear me in the truth of Your salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters. Let not the floodwater overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. And do not hide Your face from Your servant, for I am in trouble; hear me speedily. Draw near to my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies. 


What a heartbreaking psalm! How painful these words of the psalmist are and the way he described his situation which is too hard to bear.  
His situation was so tough that he felt it was consuming him, he felt drowned, with no way out. He felt like he was being swept away by a rushing stream of water, mud and debris. This is the literal description when one is surprised by a Tsunami. Exactly, the psalmist is describing a horrifying scene broadcasted on the news channels, or that you can find on YouTube. 
16 years ago, on December 26, 2004, the Spanish Álvarez Belón family was on vacation in Thailand when they were surprised by the Tsunami that killed more than 230,000 people. In a miraculous way, all the members of the family survived: father, mother and the 3 children of 10, 8 and 5 years old respectively. Their story inspired the movie called "The Impossible." 
Likewise, the panorama in which the psalmist found himself is similar to that of those tourists who were tranquil on the beach when, suddenly, the waves came upon them dragging, and where several lost their lives and others were seriously injured by the blows or by the muddy waters that entered their lungs. To add to the problem, there is the desperate voice that screams for help but that nobody listens to you and, in this case, David feels that God does not see or hear him.

The first verses are similar to Psalm 40 that we studied on October 25, entitled "From the well to the Rock", in case you want to study this subject more furter.
But beyond the experience of the psalmist, this is a reflection of another suffering: that of the Messiah. This psalm describes how the Lord felt in the midst of the Jews when they persecuted Him to catch Him in something bad and falsely accuse Him. In verses 8 and 9 we can read the messianic prophetic verses when it refers to His zeal for the house of God consuming Him. We see this in the New Testament, when the Lord took out several of the vendors who were deceiving those who came to the temple to offer sacrifices. We also see how the leaders mocked the Lord and falsely accused Him in the Praetorium before Pilate.
But in the face of all this suffering, the psalmist pleads with the Lord in this psalm to get him out of there, not to allow him to drown, and in a tender way he asks Him to come closer to his soul to rescue and save it. 

I hope this psalm encourages your soul and increases your faith. May you never forget who it is who rescues, who saves from the floods and frees us from the evil one. Don't panic! Rather, cover your family by invoking the name of Jesus, asking the Lord that everyone be saved in times of Tsunamis.

Have you remained calm or have you despaired?

Noviembre 18: Cuando viene un Tsunami en contra de tu familia.

Salmos 69:1-‬18 RVA2015:
¡Sálvame, oh Dios, porque las aguas han entrado hasta mi alma! Estoy hundido en el lodo profundo donde no hay suelo firme. He llegado a las profundidades de las aguas, y la corriente me ha arrastrado. Cansado estoy de llamar; mi garganta se ha enronquecido. Mis ojos han desfallecido esperando a mi Dios. Los que me aborrecen sin causa se han aumentado; son más que los cabellos de mi cabeza. Se han fortalecido mis enemigos que me destruyen sin razón. ¡He tenido que devolver lo que no había robado!
Oh Dios, tú conoces mi insensatez; mis pecados no te son ocultos. No sean avergonzados por mi culpa los que esperan en ti, oh SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos. No sean confundidos por mí los que te buscan, oh Dios de Israel. Por tu causa he sufrido afrenta; confusión ha cubierto mi cara. He venido a ser extraño a mis hermanos y extranjero para los hijos de mi madre. Pues el celo por tu casa me ha consumido, y las afrentas de los que te afrentan han caído sobre mí. Me afligí a mí mismo con ayuno; también esto me ha servido de afrenta. Además, me puse cilicio como vestido y llegué a servirles de refrán. Hablaban contra mí los que se sentaban en el tribunal, y los borrachos cantaban canciones contra mí. 
Sin embargo, oh SEÑOR, yo dirigía a ti mi oración en el tiempo de tu buena voluntad. Oh Dios, respóndeme por tu gran bondad, por la verdad de tu salvación. Sácame del lodo; no sea yo sumergido. Sea yo librado de los que me aborrecen y de las profundidades de las aguas. No me arrastre la corriente de las aguas; no me trague el abismo, ni la fosa cierre su boca sobre mí.
Escúchame, oh SEÑOR, porque buena es tu misericordia. Mírame conforme a tu inmensa compasión. No escondas tu rostro de tu siervo porque estoy angustiado; apresúrate a escucharme. Acércate a mi alma y redímela; líbrame a causa de mis enemigos.


¡Qué salmo tan desgarrador! Cómo son de dolorosas estas palabras del salmista y por la forma en que describió su situación que es demasiado duro de soportar.  
Su situación era tan dura que él sentía que lo estaba consumiendo, se sentía ahogado, sin salida. Sentía que era arrastrado por una corriente impetuosa de agua, lodo y escombros. Esta es la descripción literal cuando uno es sorprendido por un Tsunami. Exactamente, el salmista está describiendo una escena horrorosa transmitida en los canales de noticias, o que tú puedes encontrar en YouTube. 
Hace 16 años, el 26 de diciembre de 2004, la familia española Álvarez Belón estaba de vacaciones en Tailandia cuando los sorprendió el Tsunami que mató a más de 230.000 personas. De forma milagrosa sobrevivieron todos los miembros de la familia: papá, mamá y los 3 niños de 10, 8 y 5 años respectivamente. Su historia inspiró la película llamada “Lo imposible". (En inglés el título original es igual "The impossible".)
Así mismo, el panorama en que el salmista se encontraba es similar a la de aquellos turistas que estaban tranquilos en la playa cuando, de repente, las olas vinieron sobre ellos arrastrándolos, y donde varios perdieron sus vidas y otros quedaron gravemente heridos por los golpes o por las aguas enlodadas que entraron hasta sus pulmones. Para añadirle al problema, está la desesperada voz que grita por auxilio pero que nadie te escucha y, en este caso, David siente que Dios no lo ve ni lo escucha.

Los primeros versos son parecidos al salmo 40 que estudiamos el 25 de octubre, titulado "Del Pozo a la Roca", por si quieres estudiar más a fondo este tema.
Pero más allá de la experiencia del salmista, esto es un reflejo de otro sufrimiento: el del Mesías. Este salmo describe como el Señor se sentía en medio de los judios cuando lo perseguían para atraparlo en algo malo y acusarlo falsamente. En los versos 8 y 9 podemos leer los versos proféticos mesiánico cuando se refiere a que el celo por la casa de Dios lo consumía. Esto lo vemos en el Nuevo Testamento, cuando el Señor sacó a varios de los vendedores que estaban estafando a los que llegaban al templo a ofrecer sacrificios. También vemos cómo los líderes se burlaban del Señor y lo acusaban falsamente en el pretorio ante Pilatos.
Pero ante todo este sufrimiento, el salmista suplica al Señor en este salmo que lo saque de ahí, que no le permita ahogarse, y de manera tierna le pide a que se acerque a su alma para que la recate y la salve. 

Espero que este salmo aliente tu alma y aumente tu fe. Que nunca olvides quién es el que rescata, el que salva de la inundaciones y nos libra del maligno. ¡No tengas pánico! Más bien, cubre a tu familia invocando el nombre de Jesús, pidiéndole al Señor que todos sean salvos en tiempos de Tsunamis.

En este episodio vamos a ver uno de los eventos que trajeron mucha confusión y hasta resentimiento en los creyentes. Es la historia donde no sólo la fe sino también la amistad de un grupo de personas es puesta a prueba. Marta, Maria y Lázaro se habían convertido en amigos íntimos del señor. La biblia relata que cuando Jesús iba a Jerusalén siempre paraba en Betsaida para visitar a sus amigos, creyentes de su mensaje de salvación y discípulos amados de Jesus.
Ellos eran testigos de su poder maravilloso sanando enfermos, echando fuera demonios y liberando a los cautivos. Además, sus vidas eran transformadas por su mensaje de poder, amor, paz y revelación. Ellos creían que Jesus era el mesías prometido a Israel.

Pero la tragedia llegó. Lázaro murió
Pero Jesús nunca llega tarde, siempre a tiempo, en su tiempo.

November 17: Covenant Families.

Psalms 68:1-12:
Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name Yah, and rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
O God, when You went out before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness, Selah the earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, when it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor. The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it: “Kings of armies flee, they flee, and she who remains at home divides the spoil.


This is a psalm that expresses the greatness of God, praising all the qualities of God as Father, as protector, defender, provider and caregiver, always attentive to the needs of His children, protecting them and delivering them from dangers, injustices, giving them relief when the earth has needed water to produce food, defending the most defenseless from suffering such as the widows, the poor, the orphans, the homeless and the captives.

The verse that has caught my attention the most is the verse that says: "God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity”.
What a beautiful detail the psalmist wrote! This quality of God as the One who has compassion for all, who does not lose any detail of the need of each person, and in this case, of the one who is alone. Such a basic and essential need but that goes unnoticed because each one is involved with their own family, relatives and friends, but that at the end of the day, the loner spends the night alone. If he falls ill, he has no one to take care of him; if he suffers, no one notices, but God is so good that He has formed a large family to welcome the lonely!
When it was time to celebrate the greatest feast in Israel, the Passover, God established in law that to celebrate it everyone had to gather with their family to eat the lamb offered as an offering to the Lord. The lamb was to be shared by all and nothing was to be left over. But if that family calculated that they would have a lot left over, they should invite someone to their home. It could be another small family or, in this case, neighbors who lived alone. In this way the solitary was adopted that day to celebrate with a family and not feel isolated and alone in the great celebration.

Today we are going to worship God, the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, in our meetings in the temple, and there we lovingly welcome the one who is spiritually and emotionally helpless and alone. Those who don't have a direction and have not understood the purpose of their lives, who come to the feet of God and the church adopts them as brother or sister in Christ, and we begin to walk together so that they grow and strengthen their spiritual lives.
In the great family of God many have found a spiritual father, a mother, a brother and a sister; they have filled that emptiness that they had in their hearts and they have filled that sense of belonging that they longed for so much in their hearts.
The church is the great family of God that has made a covenant with the Almighty, whom we call Savior and also Father. He who has adopted us and told us: “You are my son, today I have begotten you.”
"The apostle John said it well in John 1:12-13: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Noviembre 17: Familias de Pacto.

Salmos 68:1‭-‬12 RVA2015:
Dios se levantará, y se dispersarán sus enemigos; huirán de su presencia los que le aborrecen. Como se disipa el humo, así los disiparás. Como se derrite la cera ante el fuego, así perecerán los impíos delante de Dios. Pero los justos se alegrarán; se gozarán delante de Dios y saltarán de alegría. ¡Canten a Dios! ¡Canten salmos a su nombre! ¡Preparen camino al que cabalga sobre las nubes! El SEÑOR es su nombre. ¡Alégrense delante de él! Padre de los huérfanos y juez de las viudas es Dios en su santa morada. Es el Dios que hace habitar en familia a los solitarios y saca a los cautivos a prosperidad; pero los rebeldes habitan en sequedales. Oh Dios, cuando saliste delante de tu pueblo, cuando marchaste por el desierto, Selah la tierra tembló; también los cielos gotearon ante Dios. Aquel Sinaí tembló delante de Dios, del Dios de Israel. Abundante lluvia esparciste, oh Dios; a tu posesión exhausta reanimaste. Tu rebaño ha habitado en ella. Por tu bondad, oh Dios, has provisto para el pobre. El Señor da la palabra, y una gran hueste de mujeres anuncia la buena nueva: “¡Huyen, huyen los reyes de los ejércitos!”. Y en casa las mujeres reparten el botín.


Este es un salmo que expresa la grandeza de Dios, alabando todas las cualidades de Dios como Padre, como protector, defensor, proveedor y cuidador, siempre atento a las necesidades de sus hijos, protegiéndolos y librándolos de peligros, injusticias, dándoles socorro cuando la tierra ha necesitado del agua para producir alimentos, defendiendo al más indefenso de sufrimientos como las viudas, los pobres , los huérfanos, desamparados y los cautivos.

El verso que más ha llamado mi atención es el verso que dice: "Es el Dios que hace habitar en familia a los solitarios y saca a los cautivos a prosperidad".
¡Qué hermoso detalle escribió el salmista! Esta cualidad de Dios como el que tiene compasión de todos, que no pierde ningún detalle de la necesidad de cada persona, y en este caso, del que está solo. Una necesidad tan básica y esencial pero que pasa por desapercibida porque cada uno está involucrado con su propia familia, parientes y amigos, pero que al final del día, el solitario pasa la noche solo. Si enferma, no tiene quien lo atienda; si sufre, nadie se da cuenta pero, ¡Dios es tan bueno que ha formado una familia grande para que acoja al que está solo!
Cuando era el tiempo de celebrar la fiesta más grande en Israel, la Pascua, Dios estableció en la ley que para celebrarlo todos tenían que reunirse con su familia para comer del cordero ofrecido como ofrenda al Señor. El cordero debía ser compartido por todos y nada debía sobrar. Pero si esa familia calculaba que le iba a sobrar mucho, debía invitar a alguien a su hogar. Podría ser otra familia pequeña o, en este caso, los vecinos que vivían solos. De está manera el solitario era adoptado ese día para celebrar con una familia y no sentirse apartado y solo en la gran celebración.

Hoy en día vamos a adorar a Dios, al Cordero que quita los pecados del mundo, en nuestras reuniones en el templo, y ahí acogemos con amor al que está solo y desamparado espiritual y emocionalmente. Aquellos que no tienen un rumbo y no han entendido el propósito de sus vidas, que vienen a los pies de Dios y la iglesia los adopta como hermano o hermana en Cristo, y comenzamos a caminar juntos para que vayan creciendo y fortaleciendo sus vidas espirituales.
En la gran familia de Dios muchos han encontrado un padre, una madre y un hermano espiritual, han llenado ese vacío que tenían en su corazón y han llenado esa sensación de pertenencia que tanto anhelaban en su corazón.
La iglesia es la gran familia de Dios que ha hecho un pacto con el Todopoderoso, al que llamamos Salvador y también Padre. El que nos ha adoptado y nos ha dicho: “Mi hijo eres tú, yo te engendré hoy".
Bien lo dijo el apóstol Juan en Juan 1:12-13: “Pero a todos los que lo recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio derecho de ser hechos hijos de Dios, los cuales nacieron no de sangre ni de la voluntad de la carne ni de la voluntad de varón sino de Dios.”

Considera:
¿Te has sentido solo?
¿Has encontrado un lugar de pertenencia en una congregación? Si no es así, ¿a qué esperas para encontrar y acercarte a una familia?

Imagínese a una mujer que se sentía amargada, pero cuando volvió a su tierra y a su Dios comenzó a observar como Dios la comenzó a bendecir. A prosperar. A redimir su nombre que estaba pisoteado por la calamidad.
Estoy seguro que Nohemi seguía clamando a Dios y teniendo una posición de agradecimiento por la vida que estaba viviendo. Por el alimento que Dios le estaba proveyendo.
También agradeció a Dios por la nuera que se convirtió en 7 hijos. Que le dio los nietos que no pudo ver en Moab. Que le devolvió la dignidad que había perdido, por la nueva oportunidad de ser feliz que Dios le dio. Cuántas viudas vio ella que mendigaban en los campos pero ella nunca fue ni un solo día, pues su nuera trabajaba por ella. Cuántas viudas murieron sin sentir el amor de un nuevo esposo, hijo o nieto.

Rut 4
13 Booz, pues, tomó a Rut, y ella fue su mujer; y se llegó a ella, y Jehová le dio que concibiese y diese a luz un hijo.
14 Y las mujeres decían a Noemí: Loado sea Jehová, que hizo que no te faltase hoy pariente, cuyo nombre será celebrado en Israel;
15 el cual será restaurador de tu alma, y sustentará tu vejez; pues tu nuera, que te ama, lo ha dado a luz; y ella es de más valor para ti que siete hijos.

Psalms 66:5-15:

Psalms 67:1-7:

These two psalms are very beautiful because they are an invitation to praise God because He heard our prayer and did justice in favor of His people.
In Psalm 66 we learn many things from various phrases that the psalmist expressed in other psalms that confirm why he was so grateful.
As in Psalm 62 we studied on November 14, David made a reference in verse 9 about God will not let us slip. When someone slips it’s because they failed in their life and fell into a place of perdition; and to be delivered we have to be tested to be strengthened.
That is why in the following verses 10 to 12, David confessed and acknowledged that the Lord makes us go through trials just as a precious metal like silver and gold goes through fire. This is another teaching that we must keep in mind when we go through trials like fire that burns or like water that suffocates. There are different kinds of trials that we are going to undergo, but the important thing is to understand that the Lord is going to take us out of there. The psalmist testified that the Lord brought them out to abundance. For that reason and because God rescued him, David promised in his time of anguish to enter God's house and fulfil the promises he made to the Lord.

Psalm 67 begins with a declaration very similar to the one that Moses made for the children of Israel as established in the law in Numbers 6:23-27: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’ “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

What a beautiful petition, that the Lord look upon them with favor, that the glory of God be reflected in Israel in the form of acceptance, that His grace embrace them.

I encourage you to pray this same prayer about all the members of your family; just as the pastor prays for the children that we present in the church invoking this prayer based on this biblical verse, you also cry out to the Lord so that the Lord may shine His face on your family, bless them and keep them.
Many people will notice that you have a special blessing and they will not understand it; this is the opportunity for you to give glory to the Lord and praise Him when you tell them that the grace of the Lord and His mercy is what has blessed you and your family.
This Psalm 67 ends with a prophetic word where the psalmist invited all the peoples of the world to worship the Lord, and God will bless our crops and bring abundance.

Consider this:
Have you been through tests? Have you seen the hand of God delivering you?
Have you blessed your children and are you laying your hands on them to bless them?
Do you do it during the day or when they are sleeping?

Noviembre 16: Que Su rostro resplandezca sobre todos nosotros.

Salmos 66:5‭-‬15 RVA2015:
Vengan y vean los actos de Dios, admirable en sus hechos para con los hijos del hombre. Él convirtió el mar en tierra seca, y por el río pasaron a pie. ¡Regocijémonos en él! Se enseñorea con su poder para siempre; sus ojos observan a las naciones para que los rebeldes no se enaltezcan contra él. Selah
¡Bendigan, oh pueblos, a nuestro Dios! Hagan que se escuche la voz de su alabanza. Él es quien preservó la vida a nuestra alma y no permitió que resbalasen nuestros pies. Tú nos has probado, oh Dios; nos has purificado como se prueba la plata. Nos metiste en la red y pusiste apretura sobre nuestros lomos. Hiciste que los hombres cabalgaran encima de nuestra cabeza. Estos dos salmos son muy hermosos porque son una invitación para alabar a Dios porque escuchó nuestra oración e hizo justicia a favor de su pueblo.
En el salmo 66 aprendemos muchas cosas de varias frases que el salmista expresó en otros salmos y que confirman el por qué estaba tan agradecido.
Igual que en el salmo 62 que estudiamos el 14 de noviembre, David hizo referencia en el verso 9 acerca de que Dios no nos va a dejar resbalar. Cuando alguien resbala es porque fracasó en su vida y cayó en un lugar de perdición; y para ser librados tenemos que ser probados para ser fortalecidos.
Por eso en los siguientes versos 10 al 12, David confesó y reconoció que el Señor nos hace pasar por pruebas así como un metal precioso como la plata y el oro pasa por el fuego. Esta es otra enseñanza que debemos tener en cuenta cuando pasemos por pruebas parecidas al fuego que quema o parecidas al agua que ahogan. Hay diferentes clases de pruebas que vamos a sufrir pero lo importante es entender que el Señor nos va a sacar de allí. El salmista testificó que el Señor los sacó a abundancia. Por esa razón y porque Dios lo rescató, David prometió en su momento de angustia entrar a la casa de Dios y cumplir las promesas que le hizo al Señor.

El salmo 67 empieza con una declaración muy parecida a la que Moisés hacía por los hijos de Israel como estaba establecido en la ley en Números 6:23-27: “Habla a Aarón y a sus hijos, y diles que así bendecirán a los hijos de Israel. Díganles: ‘El SEÑOR te bendiga y te guarde. El SEÑOR haga resplandecer su rostro sobre ti, y tenga de ti misericordia. El SEÑOR levante hacia ti su rostro, y ponga en ti paz’. “Así invocarán mi nombre sobre los hijos de Israel, y yo los bendeciré”.

Qué hermosa petición, que el Señor los mire con agrado, que la gloria de Dios sea reflejada en Israel en forma de aceptación, que Su gracia los abrace.

Te animo para que tú hagas esta misma oración sobre todos los miembros de tu familia; así como el pastor ora por los niños que presentamos en la iglesia invocando está oración basada en este verso bíblico, tu también clama al Señor para que el Señor resplandezca Su rostro sobre tu familia, los bendiga y los guarde.
Muchas personas van a notar que tú tienes una bendición especial y no lo van a entender, esta es la oportunidad para que tú le des la gloria al Señor y lo alabes cuando le digas a ellos que la gracia del Señor y Su misericordia es lo que te ha bendecido a ti y a tu familia.
Este salmo 67 termina con una palabra profética donde el salmista hizo la invitación a todos los pueblos del mundo a que adoren al Señor, y Dios bendecirá nuestras cosechas y traerá abundancia.

Considera:
¿Has pasado por pruebas? ¿Has visto la mano de Dios librándote?
¿Has bendecido a tus hijos y les impones tus manos para bendecirlos?
¿Lo haces durante el día o cuando están durmiendo?

Vamos a continuar el tema referente a las acciones de Gracias.
Pero este es un tema que será enfocado en la experiencia que todo cristiano va a experimentar. Situaciones que en el momento no tiene explicación, ni lógica, hasta parecería un castigo o maldición divina.
Son esos momentos que no entendemos pero que poco a poco iremos entendiendo el propósito escondido. Y mientras pasamos por el proceso de la prueba debemos aprender y ejercitar el don del Agradecimiento.

November 15: He hears the prayer of protection and gratitude.

Psalms 64:1-10:
Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity, who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words, that they may shoot in secret at the blameless; suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear. They encourage themselves in an evil matter; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, “Who will see them?” They devise iniquities: “We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded. So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; all who see them shall flee away. All men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider His doing. The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psalms 65:1-8:
Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; and to You the vow shall be performed. O You who hear prayer, to You all flesh will come. Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them. Blessed is the man You choose, and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple. By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off seas; who established the mountains by His strength, being clothed with power; You who still the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples. They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.


Today we are going to study Psalms 64 and 65. I have read all of Psalm 64; please don't forget to read the missing verses from 65.
Psalm 64 begins with a request that the psalmist made to the Lord. David asked the Lord to help him not develop a fear for enemies. David was aware that when the bad guys met secretly to make plans they became very dangerous people. David described the danger when a person uses his words to do evil. This confirms to us what the apostle James taught us about the tongue. The danger when we use words to persuade others to do wrong. Through gossip or a bad comment there are people who have damaged friendships and others have even lost their lives due to misunderstandings, due to the recklessness of many who with a bad heart use their words to destroy.
The psalm 65 is a psalm of joy where the psalmist expresses with all his heart that great privilege of having been chosen by the Lord as His people. That is why the psalmist expressed that all praise and adoration belongs to the Lord, especially when it comes from those who have been blessed by the Lord to be in His house.

May this day be an opportunity to learn to trust the Lord more and not fear those who rise up against us. Understanding that there are bad people who rise up against us, the Lord will make them fall into their own traps, reaping what they sowed with their evil intentions.
Also let us affirm our identity in God today. Our praises belong to the Lord because we are His chosen ones, the ones who can enter the presence of the Lord, who have received the revelation of His power and His divine purposes with us.
Get together with your family today to make a commitment to the Lord and become worshipers; may they never doubt God's provision, His justice in times of oppression, and the hope that many like us are waiting for an answer from the Lord, who never fails us.

Consider this:
Are we waiting for the Lord to defend us or are we doing it our way?
Are we giving the Lord what belongs to him, which is our praise at all times?

Noviembre 15: Él escucha la oración de protección y agradecimiento.

Salmos 64:1‭-‬10 RVA2015:
Escucha, oh Dios, mi voz en mi oración; guarda mi vida del miedo al enemigo. Escóndeme del consejo secreto de los malhechores, del tumulto de los que obran iniquidad. Ellos afilan su lengua como espadas, y disponen palabras amargas como flechas para tirarlas a escondidas contra el inocente. De repente tiran contra él, y no temen. Se alientan unos a otros en perverso designio y planean esconder trampas. Dicen: “¿Quién nos ha de ver?”. Traman maldad, hacen un minucioso complot hasta en el íntimo pensamiento del hombre y lo profundo del corazón. Pero Dios los herirá con sus propias flechas. De repente les sobrevendrán sus heridas. Los hará caer por la propia lengua de ellos; todos los que los vean moverán la cabeza. Todos los hombres temerán; anunciarán la obra de Dios y entenderán sus hechos. El justo se alegrará en el SEÑOR y confiará en él. Se gloriarán todos los rectos de corazón.

Salmos 65:1‭-‬8 RVA2015:
En Sion, oh Dios, te corresponde la alabanza; a ti serán pagados los votos. Tú oyes la oración; a ti acudirá todo ser. Las palabras de iniquidad prevalecen contra mí pero tú perdonarás nuestras rebeliones. Bienaventurado el hombre que tú escoges y haces que se acerque a ti para que habite en tus atrios. Seremos saciados del bien de tu casa, de tu santo templo. Con hechos tremendos nos responderás en justicia, oh Dios de nuestra salvación, esperanza de todos los confines de la tierra y de todos los mares más distantes. Tú eres el que afirmas las montañas con poder, ceñido de poderío. Tú eres el que sosiegas el estruendo de los mares, el estruendo de las olas y el tumulto de los pueblos. Por eso los habitantes de los confines de la tierra tienen temor de tus maravillas. Tú haces cantar de júbilo a las salidas de la mañana y de la noche.


Hoy vamos a estudiar los salmos 64 y 65. He leído todo el salmo 64; por favor, no olvides leer los versos que faltan del 65.
El salmo 64 comienza con una petición que el salmista le hizo al Señor. David le pidió al Señor que lo ayudara a no desarrollar un temor por los enemigos. David era consciente que cuando los malos se reunían en secreto para hacer planes se convertían en personas muy peligrosas. David describió el peligro que hay cuando una persona utiliza sus palabras para hacer el mal. Esto nos confirma lo que el apóstol Santiago nos enseñó sobre la lengua. El peligro cuando usamos las palabras para persuadir a otros a hacer el mal. Por medio de un chisme o un mal comentario hay personas que han dañado amistades y otros hasta han perdido la vida por malentendidos, por la imprudencia de muchos que con un corazón malo utiliza sus palabras para destruir.
El salmo 65 es un salmo de alegría donde el salmista expresa con todo su corazón ese gran privilegio de haber sido escogidos por el Señor como pueblo Suyo. Por eso el salmista expresó que toda la alabanza y adoración le pertenecen al Señor, especialmente cuando proviene de aquellos que han sido bendecidos por el Señor para estar en Su casa.

Que este día sea una oportunidad para poder aprender a confiar más en el Señor y no temer a los que se levantan en contra nuestra. Entendiendo que hay personas malas que se levantan contra nosotros, el Señor hará que ellos mismos caigan en sus propias trampas, recogiendo lo que sembraron con sus malas intenciones.
También afirmemos hoy nuestra identidad en Dios. Nuestras alabanzas pertenecen al Señor porque somos Sus escogidos, los que podemos entrar a la presencia del Señor, a los que hemos recibido la revelación de Su poder y Sus propósitos divinos con nosotros.
Reúnete hoy con tu familia para que hagan un compromiso con el Señor y conviértanse en adoradores; que nunca duden de la provisión de Dios, de Su justicia en momentos de opresión, y de la esperanza que muchos como nosotros están esperando una respuesta del Señor, el que nunca nos falla.

Considera:
¿Estamos esperando que el Señor nos defienda o lo estamos haciendo a nuestra manera?
¿Estamos dando al Señor lo que le pertenece, que es nuestra alabanza en todo tiempo?

Psalms 62:1-8:
Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, like a leaning wall and a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his high position; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah
My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Psalms 63:1-11:
O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. But those who seek my life, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. They shall fall by the sword; they shall be a portion for jackals. But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone who swears by Him shall glory; but the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.


Today we are going to look at Psalm 62 and 63. I remind you to read Psalm 62 completely.
Psalm 62 is dedicated to Jeduthun, one of the priests of the tribe of Levi. Possibly they are words of encouragement for some test that he was going through, or it is simply a psalm for him to direct or sing it on some special occasion. In verse 2 of Psalm 62 from New King James Version we read a strange statement: "I shall not be greatly moved." In the traditional Spanish version of the RVR from the 1960 it says: "I won't slip much."
How is this? It is a statement showing that, as humans, we are going to go through situations that will stagger us, such as when someone accidentally steps on an object on the floor and slips or falls. That is how people who hate us would like to see us, but the psalmist declared that he will not last long on the floor or in the situation that wants to make him slip. God will lift us up if we fall and quickly restores us to keep walking in victory and blessing.
Very similar the apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”.

Chapter 63 is a psalm that fills my heart and from which I learned the first few verses. It is a very beautiful prayer. When you have no words to pray, learn the psalms. They will guide you to cry out to the Lord with very tender, sincere and dedicated words to touch the heart of God.
The psalmist declared his hunger and thirst for God. This psalm has the ingredients of David's prayers: Ask for protection, cover, demonstrate your longing for His presence, value the love and mercy of God than life itself, begin at dawn to seek God and at nights has a special moment to talk to God; and the most moving phrase: "My soul follows close behind You."
Indeed, David had a very close and trusting relationship with the Lord. The invitation for today is that we reflect on how we are addressing the Lord. To get up and fearlessly approach the Lord.

Consider this:
When you pray, do you run out of words and sometimes you don't know what to say?
Have you used any Bible verses to use as prayer guides?

May the Lord hear your prayer, lift you up and hide you under His wings.

Salmos 62:1‭-‬8 RVA2015:
Solo en Dios reposa mi alma; de él proviene mi salvación. Solo él es mi roca y mi salvación; él es mi refugio; no seré grandemente movido. ¿Hasta cuándo se ensañarán contra un hombre? ¿Lo destrozarán todos ustedes como a una pared inclinada o una cerca derribada? Solamente consultan cómo derribarlo de su eminencia. Se complacen con la mentira. Con su boca bendicen pero en su interior maldicen. Selah
Oh alma mía, reposa solo en Dios porque de él es mi esperanza. Solo él es mi roca y mi salvación; es mi alto refugio; no seré movido. Dios es mi salvación y mi gloria; en Dios está la roca de mi fortaleza y mi refugio. Oh pueblos, esperen en él en todo tiempo; derramen delante de él su corazón porque Dios es nuestro refugio. Selah

Salmos 63:1‭-‬11 RVA2015:
¡Oh Dios, tú eres mi Dios! Con diligencia te he buscado; mi alma tiene sed de ti. Mi cuerpo te anhela en tierra árida y sedienta, carente de agua. Te he contemplado en el santuario para admirar tu poder y tu gloria. Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida; mis labios te alabarán. Por eso te bendeciré en mi vida y en tu nombre alzaré mis manos. Como de sebo y de gordura se saciará mi alma; mi boca te alabará con labios de júbilo. Cuando en mi cama me acuerdo de ti medito en ti en las vigilias de la noche. Porque tú eres mi socorro, bajo la sombra de tus alas cantaré de gozo. Mi vida está apegada a ti; tu mano derecha me sostiene. Los que buscan mi alma para destruirla caerán en las profundidades de la tierra. Los destruirán a filo de espada, y serán la porción de las zorras. Pero el rey se alegrará en Dios. Será alabado cualquiera que jura por él, pero será cerrada la boca de los que hablan mentira.


Hoy vamos a mirar el salmo 62 y 63. Te recuerdo que leas completamente el salmo 62.
El salmo 62 está dedicado a Jedutún, uno de los sacerdotes de la tribu de Leví. Posiblemente son palabras de ánimo por alguna prueba que él estuviera pasando, o simplemente es un salmo para que él mismo lo dirigiera o lo cantara en alguna ocasión especial. En el verso 2 del salmo 62 en la versión de Reina Valera Actualizada de 2015 leemos una declaración un poco extraña: “no seré grandemente conmovido”. En la versión tradicional de Reina Valera Revisada de 1960 dice: “no resbalaré mucho”.
¿Cómo es esto? Es una declaración mostrando que, como humanos, vamos a pasar por situaciones que nos van a tambalear, como cuando alguien pisa por accidente un objeto en el piso y resbala o cae. Así quisieran vernos los que nos aborrecen, pero el salmista declaró que no durará mucho tiempo en el suelo o en la situación que quiere hacerlo resbalar. Dios nos levantará si caemos y nos restaura rápidamente para seguir caminando en victoria y bendición.
Muy similar lo declaró el apóstol Pablo en 2 Corintios 4:8-9: “Estamos atribulados en todo pero no angustiados; perplejos pero no desesperados; perseguidos pero no desamparados; abatidos pero no destruidos.”

El capítulo 63 es un salmo que llena mi corazón y del que aprendí los primeros versos. Es una oración muy hermosa. Cuando no tengas palabras para orar, aprende los salmos. Te guiarán a clamar al Señor con palabras muy tiernas, sinceras y dedicadas para tocar el corazón de Dios.
El salmista declaró su hambre y sed de Dios. Este salmo tiene los ingredientes de las oraciones de David: Pide protección, cobertura, demuestra su anhelo por Su presencia, valora el amor y la misericordia de Dios que la misma vida, comienza de madrugada a buscar a Dios y en las noches tiene un momento especial para hablar con Dios; y la frase más conmovedora: “Mi alma está apegada a ti”.
Realmente, David tenía una relación muy cercana y de confianza con el Señor. La invitación para hoy es que reflexionemos cómo nos estamos dirigiendo al Señor. A que nos levantemos y sin temor acercarnos al Señor.

Considera:
Cuando oras, ¿se te acaban las palabras y a veces no sabes qué decir?
¿Has utilizado algunos versos bíblicos para usarlos como guías de oración?

Que el Señor escuche tu oración, te levante y te esconda bajo Sus alas.
