The movie stars Miles Teller as Andrew, as the student and JK Simmons as Fletcher his brutal and bullying professor, it came out in 2014, and was written and directed by Damien Chazelle. I loved this movie. On one level it’s simply a great story full of drama, tension and good music but what really struck me was the central question that it attempts to address, a question that we are very interested in at the Hogtown Music Podcast.
