It is a divine tradition that the Corinthians were not exempt from.I Corinthians 4:17Four approaches:Ignore the traditions“The Bible is a book of wisdom or fables, but not something to live by.”Churched made up of people like this don’t resemble the churches of the Bible.Update the traditions“The traditions need to be updated for modern times. Teaching about homosexuality, divorce, women’s roles, etc. have to be updated to fit the times.”A church of people with these beliefs is interested in marketing itself to be pleasing to the most people.Respect the traditions“Traditions need to be respected, but not necessarily followed.”Hold to the traditions“If I don’t agree with the traditions, I am wrong. If society does not agree with the traditions, society is wrong.”It is the job of the church to spread and preserve the divine traditions.
