Gareth Maguire is the founder of Ulster Elks Basketball Club and the co-founder and CEO of the Sport Changes Life Foundation. He has been at the forefront of the Sport Changes Life movement since the pilot of the Victory Scholar Program in Ulster University in 2007. The idea of bringing elite scholar athletes from the United States to earn a graduate degree and at the same time work in the local community and raise the aspirations of young people in sport, all while playing the sport they love, came from Maguire, Professor Deirdre Brennan at the Ulster University, and International business man, Mark Marais. Dave Love began his career working with youth players in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2001. His first college client came in 2005, his first job with a college team in 2006, and his first NBA job with the Phoenix Suns in 2009. All told, Coach Love has worked for 3 different NBA teams (PHX, CLE, ORL) as well as multiple agencies, national federations, and youth programs around the world. Izzy Carnwath is the Director of Brand, Marketing and Communications for the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), a democratic body founded to organize and drive the development of MMA on a global basis. Having previously served as an interim board member of the United Kingdom Mixed Martial Arts Federation (UKMMAF), contributing in the areas of project planning, administration and funding, Izzy has worked in several roles for IMMAF, first joining the team in 2013. She has also been involved in the administrative management of Safe MMA, a voluntary medical project dedicated to the safety of mixed martial artists in the UK since the organisation’s inception in 2012. Kelly Kratz serves as the Lead Trainer for New Trainer Development for the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), an organization that has grown from a small, local non-profit to a strong, national organization hosting thousands of workshops every year, and partnering with some of the largest organizations, pro sports teams, and national governing bodies. As a catalyst for a positive youth sports culture, PCA provides research-based training and resources for coaches, parents, athletes, and leaders to ensure a positive youth development experience for ALL kids, in all communities across the U.S., through sports.

She became a workshop trainer for PCA in 2009 in the Philadelphia area. In 2014, she became the National Lead Trainer in charge of New Trainer Development. Kelly currently teaches the PCA Trainer Training Course to all new Candidates.

Kelly was a three sport high school athlete, an NCAA Division I field hockey, track and field, and lacrosse player at St. Joseph's University, an NCAA Division II college basketball coach, high school lacrosse & basketball coach and a "Double-Goal Coach" to her kids in youth soccer & lacrosse. In addition, Kelly was a third grade teacher in the Methacton (PA) School District before joining PCA and has a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling. She is still very active in sports and enjoys hiking, skiing, volleyball, biking, running, yoga and spending quality family time with her husband and 4 children in Northern Chester County Pennsylvania. Matt Smith is the head boys' basketball coach at Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, GA. He also owns United Basketball Clinics. He has nearly 20 years of coaching experience and began directing coaching clinics in 2014 in Chattanooga, Tennessee because he wanted to improve the game locally and take advantage of the brilliant basketball minds already living in the area. Máire Treasa Ní Cheallaigh is from County Galway in the west of Ireland. She is an award winning sports broadcaster who works in the field of sport psychology in Ireland. She is a Sport Ireland Institute Accredited Sport and Exercise Psychologist, is a fluent Irish speaker with over a decade working bilingually in radio, television and print journalism with Raidió na Gaeltachta, TG4, RTÉ, The Irish Times, Eir Sport, Sky Sports and Newstalk, a podcast host, and is now entering her third year studying medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
