In Part 1 of our Holiday Heal & Chill series, we’re slowing down together for a gentle but honest Holiday Heart Check. If this season brings up heaviness, old wounds, grief, or quiet emotional tension, you’re not alone, Bestie — we walk through this together.
In this episode, we invite God into the places of our hearts that feel tender, overwhelmed, or weighed down. Through Psalm 139:23-24 and Luke 6:45, we explore why we feel what we feel, how our emotions show up during the holidays, and how God lovingly cares for the condition of our hearts.
Together we talk about:
• Why the holidays can bring up so many layers for us as Christian trauma survivors
• How we can honestly check in with our hearts and name what’s really going on
• What it looks like to let God search us, know us, and gently lead us
• The role of therapy + the Holy Spirit in helping us understand our “why”
• How God meets us with compassion, healing, and truth right where we are
• Our quiet “Return & Renew” moment to reconnect with God in this season
