Finding Relief With Meditation
I would like to take you beyond the limits of your customary thoughts and experiences. This new way of life begins with two questions that are very simple. The first question is would I want this to be true: "Every event that will befall me is absolutely the best possible event that could occur." Meditate before answering this so that you can think about it with a clear mind and answer it truthfully. The second question is the more difficult part,is to truthfully answer this question: Will I give that a chance to be true?
Imagine using meditation that God has appeared before you this instant and said: "I promise you that everything that happens to you from this moment forward will be of the greatest benefit to you and will bring you the utmost good fortune," Suppose God went on to tell you,"Even though what happens will appear at times unfortunate or even hurtful, in the end, your life will be wonderfully blessed and hugely benefited by whatever may happen to you. Stop and meditate. How would you feel about that wonderful news? Happy? Perhaps you may even be filled with joy.
Wouldn't it be the greatest news that you could ever hear? Wouldn't you heave a deep sigh of relief and feel as if a great burden had been lifted from your shoulders? Wouldn't you then respond to the next thing that happened even if it was hurtful or took something from you or seemed bad or even unlucky-as though it was going to be wonderfully beneficial for you, the best possible thing that could have happened? If you have not enthusiastically answered yes, clear your mind, meditate on it. Perhaps you have mistaken what I am talking to you about.
I am not talking to you about the common phrase we commonly hear, "try to make the best of things," which basically means " The situation or event really is bad and terribly unlucky, but do what you can possibly think of or meditate to salvage some good out of it." Nor do I mean that within even the worst event possible, there can be found a tiny bit of good.I am not thinking in terms of such limited ideas. I am thinking in unlimited terms, where every event that befalls you is absolutely the best event that could occur-that there is no other event imaginable that could benefit you to any greater degree.
So, again, while you meditate ask yourself wouldn't that be the best piece of news you could hear? If you are willing to give this new concept a chance and actually believe that everything that happens to you will happen for a reason. When thinking about anything, to get a great deal of relief just clear your mind and meditate about the good things that are to come to you in the future. Meditation can be much better than medication and you might just be really surprised how much better you will begin feeling after practicing it for a while.
Opportunities in life are ever-present, open your mind and accept success as an integral part of your existence.
People today are starting to recognize the value of self-talk. At one time people thought of those that talked to themselves as someone with a mental ailment. This is not true today. Experts are recognizing that self-talk is a healthy tool that we all can use to find answers to our questions and resolve any problems.
At one time, people thought outer appearance made the person. However, today, people are starting to realize that beauty is skin deep, while inner beauty is to the bone. Today people are running to find ways to develop themselves.
Recently, personality development courses opened to help these people find their way. Now, people are not spending countless of dollars on improving their looks, rather they are spending more time and money to find ways of healing the hidden self.
The hidden being is decided on the inner conscious. We all have several hidden personalities that we do not recognize. These personalities often come out, usually when feelings are expressed.
To understand one’s feelings, one has to use his or her self-talk tools. Most of us can manage our job tasks on a daily schedule, but when it comes to managing our feelings and emotions, often it becomes a struggle. Using self-talk tools can change this behavior.
As humans, we often struggle to abandon bad behaviors or habits. The common problem we face today is greed. We see this by examining human behaviors. You probably noticed that on several occasions when a person made a small lump sum of cash, they often want more. Instead of accepting that they have what they need, many people will thrive to make more money, and often find themselves down and out at the end; Life seems to be nothing more than the almighty dollar, which is most people’s goal in life.
People tend to believe that they can attain happiness and love by making more money. The fact is these people often find themselves stressing because they failed to realize that finding love, joy, and peace is the true road to self-development. Successor failure is not what makes a person. What makes a person is fighting through the hidden messages in the subliminal mind to discover self.
We all battle emotional responses, such as anger, sadness, joy, et cetera, and these emotions ignite from failures, depression, and success, and so on. We all feel down at times. There is no way that we can escape the feeling of sadness, joy, anger, and so on, but there is a way we can all take control of what we express and feel.
Another problem we face is dependency. Many people in the world today depend on others to pick them up when they are down. This leads to major problems, simply because not one person has the power to heal you, but you.
To work through all these problems, we must depend on self, and develop a winning attitude to build confidence. By changing our approach, we can see that the world is our own based on how we accept it. If a body is unhappy, then the world will seem like a miserable place to live. One of the common sayings today is, “Life is miserable, and then you die.” This entire negative is causing them to miss the benefits of living.
In each of our lives, some of us are fortunate while others are unfortunate. We must realize that everything we endure takes place to help us learn. For instance, a severely traumatized person may have lived a life of overwhelming violence. There is a point to be made here. Of course, this person is the victim and has no responsibility of what has occurred in his or her life, yet the point is made clear at the end of this person’s journey.
We can all live and learn from each other. Despite what type of life you have lived you can develop a positive attitude and win the game of life. By holding onto negative thoughts, you only defeat the purpose of living. Life is too short, so develop a winning attitude and healing the hidden self will fall into place.
An Introduction To Bikram Yoga
Most people have a passing knowledge of what Yoga is or think they know about what it sets out to achieve. But until you have tried Yoga it is impossible to know whether you have the type of personality that can truly excel under its influence. Yoga quite simply can be a life changing experience and the discipline and mental strength that result from it can completely change your perspective and worldview.
One method of Yoga that is currently very popular is known as Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga, often referred to as 'hot yoga' follows the Bikram Yoga Method. As with all Yoga, it has multiple goals - to build your inner strength as well as your outer physical strength. A vital component of Bikram Yoga is the flexibility and balance required to perform the exercises and it is believed that this comes from mental strength as much as physical practice. The roots of Bikram are in Hatha Yoga, which is a healing form of Yoga that strengthens both body and mind.
The founder of Bikram Yoga was Bikram Choudhury, a yoga practitioner, and innovator. After a weightlifting accident, Bikram Choudhury was determined to recover and set about investigating the healing ability to practice certain types of exercise. The result was Bikram Yoga, which so many people found to be an effective method of healing that its tenants were recorded and passed on as a new form of Yoga. Those who practice Bikram Yoga purely for its healing benefits are plentiful, but there is also a strong holistic component, which is a key reason behind using Bikram Yoga for many of those who are regular users.
The key to success with Bikram Yoga is to develop the mental strength required to discipline yourself in its use. If you can master this side of Yoga then the physical benefits will be forthcoming. They have been proven by scientists including a group from the Tokyo University Hospital. The medical benefits are beyond question and have been shown to improve chronic ailments as well as greatly assist in the treatment and recovery of tissue injuries.
At the 1972 International Medical Conference, the findings were presented and it was concluded that Bikram Yoga had the ability to assist in the recovery of internal tissue. The explanation given was that the positions practiced by Bikram Yoga replenish cells and assist in the lymphatic system flushing toxins from the body. In addition to the toxin drain, the cells are assisted by higher oxygen flows during and after exercise.
Bikram showed that to get the best benefits from exercise a healthy and well-balanced body was important. Where the body is weak Bikram Yoga will have less effect in the healing process, which relies on correct balance and circulation.
Bikram demonstrated 26 exercises and recommended a regime, which was to be practiced every single day in order to best treat the body. Each posture exercise was developed based on a background of both Eastern and Western Yoga disciplines. They all focus on the movement and pressure on muscles, nerves, ligaments glands, and organs. The exercises are meant to be performed together and in sequence, because they are all interrelated to each other.
Bikram Yoga is low impact and can be performed by people of all different ages. The important component is the discipline required to perform the posture exercises every day for maximum benefit.
Acupuncture and Arthritis
Acupuncture is a therapy that has long been held in high esteem because of the beliefs that the Chinese had about its capabilities. However, if you are currently living with arthritis then there is something that you should know about acupuncture therapy. For starters, there have been arthritis patients who have experienced great relief from the arthritis pain that they have felt. Whether or not acupuncture works for everyone dealing with this kind of chronic pain is unknown, but what is known is that the therapy does work and there should be lots more research being poured into this age-old technique.
Theories about Why Acupuncture Cures Arthritis
Much chronic arthritis has said that they feel instantly better after a round of acupuncture therapy. This is not only an astounding finding, but many people and researchers don't exactly know why it works. However, the only existing and current theory comes from the Chinese because they believed that the therapy of acupuncture could cure pretty much any pain in the body. For starters, the Chinese believe that there are various acupoints located along with points in the body that trigger the pain that is felt, especially during a bout of chronic arthritis. If acupuncture needles are then pointed towards those acupoints in the body, it is believed that the pain will cease and the individual can go on living a healthy life.
This theory certainly is held true over the very many lives that have tried it. More than ten million Americans currently suffer from some form of arthritis, and many of those patients feel as if they have nothing to lose when trying acupuncture. Indeed, they do not have anything to lose, because the Chinese believed that this form of therapy, even if it wouldn't work for some people, certainly would not be of harm to anyone.
Where to Receive Arthritis Acupuncture
If one is looking to find a cure for their arthritis and they are looking for an acupuncture cure specifically, there are many places one can go in order to try this age-old therapy. For starters, universities and colleges along with research centers are usually more than happy to take on arthritis patients in their effort to find out more about why acupuncture does work. Along with these kinds of establishments, though, there are also set acupuncture therapists that work alongside patients in their private offices, and these are the offices where the more individualized acupuncture care can take place. If one is not able to find an acupuncture therapist in his or her own city or town then chances are that they will have to drive a short distance to find someone who is interested in the therapy.
Nevertheless, though, there are thousands of places across the United States that are interested in pursuing the art of acupuncture in order to cure arthritis. What arthritis patients do know and what acupuncture therapists have known for quite some time is that the therapy does work well and it only takes a little bit of belief and confidence in order to know that one will actually get better from the terrible and plaguing arthritis.
