  • Holistically Heal-Thy Self with Sucha Kumar of Live Blissed(Nourishment)

In today's episode, I connected with Sucha Kumar, Founder of Live Blissed + Movement Fusion Instructor.

We talked about "finding her truth" with yoga being a foundation. She discusses the benefits of fasting(including mental clarity + skin improvements) and why it's so important to "live yoga, not just do yoga".

Sucha grew up practicing Indian classical dance, hiking, swimming but hated P.E. all through grade school. She thought fitness meant “running” and despised running! She eventually took her first group fitness class at 24-hour fitness when she was 16 (was too scared to be the only gal lifting weights in the gym) which really unleashed her curiosity for all types of training. She is a 500hr RYT but has been practicing yoga for 15+ years and has spent the past 12 years marrying herself to different sports/movement arts at months/years at a time to explore, experiment, and find purpose in the said style of training. This includes dance, swimming, basketball, weightlifting, HIIT, kickboxing, calisthenics with added variations of each movement modality.

  • Holistically Heal-Thy Self with Ryann Morris, Founder of Food Brilliance (Nourishment)

In today's episode, I connected with Ryann Morris, an Ayurvedic Chef and Nutritional Health Coach. We talked about her go-to spices and herbs(coriander, fennel, cumin, + turmeric), the importance of food combinations, + her mission to help you “eat your way to better health”.

Ryann is a lover of nature, a mother, wife and best friend, cyclist, hula hooper, swimmer, and food enthusiast. She loves to create, be in the kitchen, dance, laugh, sing and feel the beat. Every day it is important for her to pause and to feel her surroundings, be silent and be rooted.

For many years she struggled with digestive problems that resulted as a side effect of having to take a lot of antibiotics to treat a serious life-threatening surgical complication. It caused her to have an overwhelming bout of bacterial overgrowth, leaky gut, parasitic infection, liver and gallbladder issues. It ultimately resulted in massive distension, pain, and malnutrition. Her health has caused agony, sorrow, depression and confusion. It caused her to miss out on many life events.

"Ayurveda is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Its main goal is to promote good health, not fight disease. But treatments may be geared toward specific health problems."

  • Holistically Heal-Thy Self with Montana Globerman, Founder + CEO of Montana Method(Movement)

In today's episode, I connected with Montana Globerman, Founder + CEO of Montana Method. We talked about the importance of movement and her path to starting her own "method" of working out. She now shares it at her own studio and weekly at the hotel The Ray in downtown Delray Beach. Montana is a "lover of all things fitness, health, and wellness." trained in pilates and barre.

Montana’s dedication to leading her life in a healthy, balanced way is nothing new. However, the passion and energy that teaching ignited within her has propelled her career and led her to define what we know today as THE MONTANA METHOD. Her 10 years of teaching pilates and other barre methods have given her a solid foundation in technique and movement. When that was overlaid with her love of music and the energy it brings, a new style was born. This new approach to fitness hones in on the collaboration of music and movement, creating a space where you are energized to move your body, pushing it to new limits in a way that leaves you feeling accomplished with a positive outlook on the day.

  • Holistically Heal-Thy Self with Jacqueline Burbage of The InBody Journey (Mindfulness)

In today's episode, I connected with Jacqueline Burbage also known as Jax.  We talked about her struggle with depression and the use of alcoholism, and how yoga found her which became her most effective tool.

In 2008 she was certified as a 200HR RYT Yoga Teacher. She started teaching immediately. Over the next decade, she dove deeply in the studies of yoga and other modalities.  Some of those include Yin and Restorative Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga and she is currently studying in a Yoga Therapy program.

She learned with yoga and mindfulness that to live completely in a healthy way she also needed to apply that "food is medicine". And was given an opportunity to open up the first organic cold-pressed juice bar in a small beach town of Delray Beach, FL.

Even though she had the tools, she was still miserable. She experienced feelings of depression again, confusion, and a divorce.

Her The InBody Journey was born this past year as she continues to learn ways that mindfulness can help her "serve the community" as she always has intended to do.
