Today, I'm chatting with Mary Kate Schneider on her journey all the way from being a communications major to a successful Director and Editor. We chat about how and why she made the switch from working for an entertainment company to working for herself as a freelancer, how she booked the job directing a music video for Ingrid Michaelson and ZAYN, how she prepares for each job she's hired for, and how she's navigated being a mom in the film industry. I know you're going to love this episode!

Ana and I chat about our experiences in the film industry as those with a personal faith in Jesus. Ana also discusses how she stays positive after long 15-hour days, how she's dealt with toxic work environments, and green flags she saw when she was interviewing for her current role. We discuss how saying a "no" can lead to a better "yes" and we share tangible tips for leaving toxic work environments. If you're in a toxic work environment, know that there IS a healthier job out there. I hope you love today's episode!

*Disclaimer: I recorded this about 2 months ago* I didn't plan on broadcasting this to the world in the midst of it all but I felt it was important to share. It feels easier to share something like this once you've processed it all but I think there's also a lot of value in sharing something when it hasn't been made pretty or been processed through yet. So, here is a very raw episode where I share how I'm feeling and what is helping me get out of a flare of depression and anxiety. I also lead us through a meditation where we can pray and process how God looks at us in the midst of our depression and anxiety.

I'm so excited to *finally* release this podcast to the world! I've been thinking about doing this for over a year now. This podcast will be a space for anyone and everyone to be encouraged, hear stories, share stories, and receive wisdom. While this show will come from the perspective of those like myself who live in Los Angeles, the advice is applicable to anyone. Whether you're living in LA yourself and pursuing your dreams in the film industry or just curious about what life in LA is like, you are welcome here. Topics will range from what it's like dancing backup for Billie Eilish, wild nannying stories, how we pay rent working multiple side jobs, meeting celebrities, finding true friends in this city, and much much more! Again, I'm so glad you're here!
