Our special guest is TERRI SMITH in conversation about the church & the LGBTQ community. Terri discusses the challenges of confronting her own beliefs, wrestling with scripture, accepting and reconciling with her son, changing her understanding of God, and seeking to better the church and other people of faith. For years she tried to "pray the gay away" for her teenage son and well into his twenties but a series of circumstances helped Terri "repent" (change her thinking). Now she is a new woman, a new mom & a new follower of Jesus. Having a gay son was the best thing that ever happened to her.
