In today's Gospel, Jesus reaches out with care to those He was surrounded by. How are we as the body of Christ today showing His care to the communities in which we work, live and play?

Let us do what Jesus tells us to do!

You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy” but Jesus teaches us another way. He says, “I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.” He gives us His Holy Spirit, so we can love others as He loves us.

Jesus did more than just try to re-direct lives. Jesus CHANGED lives. He still does today! Make note of who He changed in the reading from Luke today and then ask yourself: “how has Jesus changed me?”

Led by the Spirit, Jesus faced Satan head on. What is the Spirit leading you through?

Jesus’ genealogy shows us how He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. He has to be both to ensure our salvation. Through His death and resurrection, He invites us to be a part of His family.

Got everything cleaned up and put away from Christmas yet so that you are ready for Easter?  John was sent to clean house for Jesus’ coming. What does that mean for us today?

Luke summarizes Jesus’ childhood with 14 verses to give us the message Jesus is Immanuel, which means God with us. If God is with us, He is for us. And if He is for us, who can be against us?

Who connected you to Jesus? Who shared with you the message of salvation? With whom can you make a life-saving connection?

Jesus, our Savior, is born! He is God’s own Son, who unites us all in His family!
