Battling sicknesses, but staying on top! Here’s my take on the first 4 months of homeschooling my kids!
Don’t believe what they say!
A new report from the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP), shows high schoolers are scoring the lowest ever in subjects like reading and math. Today, I talk about why educators are saying this is happening and how homeschooling can prevent your children from becoming part of this statistic.
Taking a pause today from our homeschool discussion to reflect on the death and murder of Charlie Kirk. Hear my story, and why I’ve decided to speak out in this new episode and special edition of Holy Homeschool and Headlines.
If you have social media, this episode includes a lot of video I added - so check it out on Instagram, YouTube or TikTok! I simply go over all of the things we did our first day of homeschool as a mom and family who has never done this before. I let you in on the highs and lows and what I loved about it. I plan to share these special “day in the life episodes” exclusively on social media where you will be able to see first-hand what it’s like for us. Freedom, quality time, and high expectations - that’s our new way of life as homeschoolers! But it’s far from perfect!
In this episode, we go over the different styles of homeschooling. Once you figure out the style you want then it’s time to decide on the type of curriculum you want your kids to have. And finally, get ready! Links to websites I highlight or items I recommend are link on our YouTube page: Holy Homeschool!
Why am I homeschooling? I’m a former 9-5 career mom who JUST chose to homeschool my kids! We start in one week. In this short episode, I simply explain my family’s choice to go this route. I want this podcast to continue to normalize homeschooling and hopefully empower moms currently on this journey as well as moms who are afraid to take the first step.

New to Homeschooling? Me Too — Join Me on This Faith-Filled Homeschool Journey
Are you considering homeschooling for the first time? You're not alone. After…
Homeschooling gives us the freedom to reclaim our time, shape our children’s hearts and minds during their most formative years, and most importantly, keep Christ at the center of our homeschool. If you're a Christian mom thinking about homeschooling, this space is for you.
Here, I’ll share my real-life transition from being a career-driven mom to a full-time Christian homeschool parent. Whether you’re exploring how to start homeschooling, curious about a classical education model, or simply seeking encouragement from someone who’s just a few steps ahead, I invite you to walk this road with me.
Expect honest reflections on the joys and struggles of homeschool life—from creating daily routines to the emotional and financial sacrifices of leaving the workforce. I’ll also be tracking my children’s academic and spiritual growth, offering a real look at how a classical Christian education at home compares to traditional schooling.
If you're worried about the direction of public education or feeling called to do something different, you’re not alone. This is a place for moms who want to raise confident, Christ-centered leaders in today’s world.
Let’s learn, grow, and pray through this together.
