Starting the school year excited, and probably trying to do too much, but then struggling halfway through, and having unfinished curriculum at year’s end (which is why you homeschool all summer). The temptation to unschool because it would be easier. Counting extracurricular activities as curriculum. Having strong feelings about popular programs like Abeka, or Saxon math. Here’s some encouragement if sometimes you don’t feel like you know what you’re doing: curriculum is important, but it’s not the most important thing. And you may not feel like you’re doing everything right, but you ARE doing the right thing.

Go to the Melodies chapter, and you’ll see lists showing which melodies are interchangeable. The famous ones are underlined. This works because of meter, the number of syllables per line. The three most common are Common Meter, Long Meter, and Short Meter. And the D means it’s doubled.
