Now, that the importance of mental health is being pushed to the forefront, there are tons of resources and articles on the subject. But are they always helpful? In this episode, we discuss what does and does not work for us based off the advice given from an article from Psychology Today. 

We've talked about spiritual abuse and trauma in the church and within Christianity. But what about spiritual abuse outside of the church? In this week's episode, we shared our personal stories and experiences with spiritual abuse and manipulation outside of Christianity and the church, how to recognize it, and how we've been navigating the online world of spirituality.

No matter who you are or where you grew up you have probably suffered some sort of trauma. We can experience traumatic things even in places that are supposed to be safe, like the church. 

In this episode, we discuss the trauma that we have gone through while in the church and how it has affected our lives. This episode is not intended to condemn the church but to bring light to the inconsistencies and wrongdoings that have taken place so that people can know they are not alone in their experiences and so that, hopefully, the church can do better.
