This morning, Jago spoke from Exodus 3:1-15 about God’s call of Moses, and Moses’ reluctance to accept the call. In the end what is most important is not who we are, but who God is.

James then led the time of prayer, starting the time of prayer by all saying together Psalm 100 as our way of giving thanks and praise to God, and then we prayed prayers of thanks and praise to God off the back of that.

• For our team: Pray for Natalie, one of our new ordinands, who oversees everything youth. Pray for our volunteers on Sunday morning and Monday evening

This morning, Nic spoke from Genesis 50:12-26.

Jo then led the time of prayer, praying:

• For those who are finding life heard, perhaps for a long time, because of difficult circumstances beyond their control

• For perseverance in faith for all of us

• That we would forgive those who have deeply

This morning, James spoke from Genesis 50:12-26 on how Jacob wrestled with God from a place of pain and hurt in order to be blessed. We too can wrestle with God in prayer but we are coming from a very different place of already been blessed in Jesus Christ.

Let's wrestle with God in prayer for ourselves and for our world but let's do it from a place of victory knowing that God has been 'blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ' (Ephesians 1:3)

Josh then led the time of prayer, praying:

• To know and be thankful for every blessing in Christ

• For our groups today, the toddlers, the kids drama group and the kids connect group

• For First Fruits course starting mid October

This morning, Carolyn spoke from Genesis 22.

Jago Wynne then led the time of prayer, praying:

• Thanks to “the LORD who provides” for his provision for us, above all for the provision of Jesus our sacrificial lamb

• For His provision in terms of salvation at Alpha and in terms of permissions and finances for Revitalise 250

This morning, Hope spoke from Genesis 21:1-7.

Jamie then led the time of prayer, praying:

• For our own expectation levels and the expectation levels of the church to be raised as we seek God for all that we're longing for Him to do

• For people going to Alpha. That wherever they are in their journey, that they would know Him more and more and live in the fulness of life that Jesus offers them

This morning, Emma spoke from Genesis 12:1-9.

Lydia then led the time of prayer, praying:

• For Sabina Nessa's family and friends. Pray that God will draw near to them at this time

• For mercy and justice

• For the police as they investigate this murder, pray for resources and for answers

• For women in London and throughout the UK who feel unsafe after this attack

• For change in the way women are treated on the street

• For women facing violence, whether that be on the street, within a relationship etc.

• Prayers of thanks that God has a plan for each of our lives

• For help to stay obedient to God even when we might not be sure of the future

This morning Josh spoke from Genesis 11:1-9. He spoke about being people who make the name of Jesus known instead of making a name for ourselves.

Josh then led the time of prayer, praying:

• For Try Church Sunday

• For the Alpha course starting next week

This morning, Jo spoke from Genesis 9:18-10:32.

Jo also led the time of prayer, praying:

• For those who are sensing that God is calling them, and that they go to church to see if what their heart is saying is true

• That we are not overwhelmed or discouraged by the world. That we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and that the church is unified in its message that Jesus is alive

• That God's people will work tirelessly to let people know that Jesus loves them

• That our message of Jesus being the way, the truth and the life is proclaimed in this country

This morning, James spoke from Genesis 9:8-17.

Rory then led the time of prayer, praying:

• For specific moments in our days where we need to know God's covenant promises of His faithfulness to us and the hope we have in Him

• Hebrews 10 vs 23. 'Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.'

This morning, James spoke from Genesis 6:5-14; 17-22 on how we are saved through Jesus and are declared righteous in Him.

James then led the time of prayer, praying into the following things:

• For the breakfast club

• Community: That those who come along would feel that they belong here at HTC and that they would feel at home here

• Faith: That those who come along would be pointed to Jesus and put their faith and trust in Him as their Lord and Saviour

• Breakthrough: That for those in difficult situations, that they would experience God’s power at work, e.g. in providing housing for those looking for somewhere to live

• Team: For all those that volunteer each week that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and know best how to relate to each and every guest who comes along today
