Trying to choose a way of travelling is like choosing your favourite child. 

There are so many different ways and each has a unique set of advantages and disadvantages.

When touring in a group you have the added advantage of strength in numbers, not to mention  the tour guide will keep you to the safest areas in the chosen location. 

LANGUAGE

When travelling the language barrier can be challenging, having a ready made translator with your tour guide makes ordering food or finding a bathroom so much easier. 

CHEAPER

Often when you are travelling there are group discounts for entry into tourist attractions, so travelling in  a group will get you into those sites you want to see without paying full price. 

ACCESS

Often tour groups get a lot more access to places that aren't available to the solo traveller. Plus you get the added benefit of the your guides knowing the local area so invariably you get to see those hidden gems that you might not have found yourself.
