  • Worshiping & Walking by Faith
When Adam and Eve sinned, God slew an animal to make skins of clothing for Adam and Eve, thus establishing the fact that if a man wants to be right with God, have his sins forgiven, blood would be needed to be shed. And with the expulsion of the couple from the Garden, God established that from now now, a relationship with God would be 'by faith'. 'The Just shall live by his faith. Beginning with Hebrews 11:4, the preacher illustrates what it means to live by faith, by noting some of the heroes of faith. From Abel, we learn what it means to worship by faith. Abel offered his animal blood sacrifice by faith. And because he offered a better sacrifice, he obtained righteousness. And because he obtained a good report card, he speaks to us today of what it means to worship by faith. After Abel came Enoch. Enoch teaches us what it means to Walk by Faith. Enoch experienced the same close intimate relationship with God that Adam and Eve forfeited. He too was a righteous man who lived with fellowship with God. Walking with God implies reconciliation with God, the moral fitness to do so, surrender to God's authority, and continuing faith. Enoch walked with God for 300 years. He also stood for God, preaching to his generation about impending judgment. And after 300 years, Enoch walked into heaven, God taking him home without Enoch experiencing death. He was translated without dying. He was the first, but not the last. For the promise for believers alive at the return of Jesus, that they too will be taken to heaven without experiencing physical death! From Enoch we learn what it means to walk by faith, not by sight.

  • What is Marriage?
The sermon establishes marriage as a divine institution designed by God, rooted in the creation of male and female in Genesis and affirmed by Jesus in Matthew. It contrasts biblical definitions with worldly perspectives, emphasizing that marriage is a permanent union intended to last until death, not a conditional contract based on feelings. The speaker highlights the radical shift in priorities required when leaving parents to cleave to one's spouse, making the husband-wife relationship the primary human bond while keeping God supreme. Furthermore, the sermon explains that earthly marriage serves as an allegory for the relationship between Christ and the Church, calling husbands to sacrificial love and wives to respectful submission. Ultimately, the message urges believers to uphold this sacred design, recognizing it as a profound mystery that reflects spiritual truths.

  • I Told You So?! - Peter's Denial
Luke gives us a unique perspective on Peter's Denial showing us that Jesus and Peter are able to see one another across the courtyard of the High Priest's home. When Peter denies Jesus for the 3rd time Jesus looks right at him. But what does the look reveal? In this sermon we consider the small sins that can lead to great failure, how far a follower of Jesus might fall, what Jesus response to our sin is, and the great sorrow that such sin brings.

  • Part 3: The Stance of our Church
The sermon outlines the doctrinal stance of Milton Baptist Church by defining it as literalist, futurist, and fundamentalist. It argues for a strict literal interpretation of Scripture regarding creation, marriage, and church leadership while affirming future prophetic events like the rapture and millennial reign. The preacher emphasizes that believers must hold fast to these non-negotiable fundamentals despite cultural pressure to compromise or water down biblical truth. This fidelity requires strong spiritual leadership within homes and a commitment to biblical separation from false teachings. Ultimately, the message calls the congregation to remain solid in their faith to avoid becoming a hollow institution devoid of genuine conviction.

  • Human Tendency to Forget Spiritual Truths
The sermon explores the human tendency to forget spiritual truths despite knowing them, using the context of 2 Peter to highlight three key aspects of humanity. It emphasizes that believers readily forget God's promises and virtues while clinging to worldly errors, often due to the overwhelming influence of culture and false teaching. The preacher further explains that humans frequently forget their own mortality, urging listeners to live with urgency and humility as they await their eternal home. Additionally, the message stresses the importance of leaving a faithful legacy by actively passing on biblical truth to future generations. Ultimately, the central call is for believers to rely on daily divine reminders to remain steadfast in faith and obedience.

  • 26-08-23 Navigating AI's Role in Faith
Navigating AI's Role in Faith Faith Debate: Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 (08/30/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) The Faith Debate digs into AI from a Christian vantage point. What is this technology at its root? Are fears about it due to faithful discernment, or cultural panic? If Christians disengage from "Artificial Intelligence", who fills the vacuum to train the machines, and shape the values baked into systems influencing billions of people? From the specter of end-times speculation to cultural withdrawal, can the church be let off the hook with easy answers? This isn't a conversation about gadgets, but rather about dominion, discipleship, and how the people of God can best show up where it counts. You're invited to listen, and then decide where you stand. This episode is part two of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year).
