God is sovereign in all aspects of our lives. He is master of our relationships, both at home and work. Ultimately Christ should be reflected in everything we do.

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: (Acts 26:22) ~~~~ An afternoon service in the lounge of Milward House Pilgrim home, Tunbridge Wells. With some 20 residents and visitors. ~~~~ *1/ The help of being preserved while unconverted. 2/ The help of being called and given eternal life. 3/ The help to continue in the faith.* **Sermon Summary:** The sermon centers on the Apostle Paul's declaration in Acts 26 that he has obtained help from God, exploring this theme through three distinct phases of divine assistance. It highlights God's providential care prior to conversion, the transformative power of being called by grace, and the sustaining strength provided during the Christian walk. The preacher illustrates these points with personal anecdotes about survival before faith and the suddenness of spiritual awakening. The message encourages believers to recognize God's hand in their lives and to share their testimonies of divine help with others. Ultimately, it calls the congregation to acknowledge God as the source of salvation and endurance.

Book chapter 25

This sermon explores how to find rest in the home by establishing God as the central foundation and source of security. It emphasizes that laboring without divine guidance leads to vain efforts and familial turmoil, while trusting in God's design provides stability against worry. The speaker warns against relying on human plans or personal abilities for protection, noting that such self-reliance often results in stress and conflict. Instead, true peace is achieved when every family member faithfully fulfills their God-given responsibilities. Ultimately, the home becomes a sanctuary only when its members submit to God's leadership rather than their own understanding.

We are looking at Joseph's faithfulness and steadfast character after being brought down into Egypt as a slave. From Genesis 39, we can learn that God often brings His people low before using them greatly, and that trials, betrayal, loss, and humiliation reveal what a person is truly made of. Joseph lost his home, family, position, and freedom, yet he did not become bitter, self-pitying, or rebellious; instead, he served faithfully, honored God, and became a blessing in Potiphar's house. The sermon teaches that when the Lord is with a person, even painful and unfair circumstances can become part of God's preparation, and a faithful life can bring blessing, order, and testimony to everyone it touches.
