Oh yeah, you read that right. Anita and I are now officially...Official. The families have come together, vows were said and rings were exchanged. A time was definitely had and we even found a few hours to record something for the occasion. Chris, PJ, Anita, Cameron, Andrew and I, had some drinks, some smokes and just had a long conversation about the wedding and whatever else came up.

Before I got married, I had the urge to get back to the Big G and the next movie up to bat was King Kong vs Godzilla. Thanks to The Criterion Collection, we were able to watch the original version of the film and not the chopped up American version. I did skim through that version to see what was up and yeah... You aren't missing much. Actually, you're missing a lot but i'll tell you all about it and Chris will tell you his thoughts on every DreamWorks animated film, in order!

Chris talked this up last week and I had to bring it back and see if it still hits as good as it did for me in the 90's! I loved this movie growing up, felt like Toy Story EXTREME! As an angry, nihilistic youth, it was right up my alley. I'm a little bit more calm now and a lot older, so I wonder if now I can see what all the reviewers saw back when it came out.

Nah, probably not. It's likely still hype.

Mom sent in a Patreon pick this week and I actually have never seen this one. I just always felt the pairing of Sydney Poitier and Bill Cosby would be weird and it just never caught my interest. I was just so used to Poitier being super serious and slapping racists and used to Cosby being...Well, Cosby. Time to check a film off the list though and see if I was wrong!

Yes Hustlers, there was a live action Dragon Ball film before the 2009 one! This came out in 1991 and did not have the full rights to the manga, so instead of Goku, we have "Monkey Boy!" Chris is a big anime fan, so i'm looking to him for help through this.

Been too long since we watched a Chow Yun Fat joint and this one has just been sitting in my "TBW" pile for too long. Chris and I have never seen it but i've always heard this compared to Reservoir Dogs and that was one of my favorite movies growing up, so i'm hoping this could be as good.

Not having to hear a bunch of white dudes the N-Word 20 times will help from the jump.

Man, why do I have such a taste for fava beans all of a sudden? I've never even had them before! Chris has somehow never seen this film and since the Criterion sale was going on and I just happened to grab a copy of this (and many other movies, my wallet hates me) I figured, why not bust his Hannibal cherry and talk about a certified classic film! We'll see how he likes it.

Anita has me watching a Disney movie again for the first time in a while and i don't know why but these movies almost make for some of the most fun episodes. You know i'm talking smack, for sure. Maybe that's what it is but on the real, maybe this can be one of the few Disney movies to get over a 5/10 from me.

We close out the Mexico trilogy this week and I wonder if watching this now at my bigger age and using my HVH eyes, i'll see it differently. I was disappointed by it back in the day as a sequel to Desperado but still enjoyed it as an action film. I think we can classify this as a "Family Fundamental" as well because we grew up watching this and laughing at old guys being shotgun blasted off screen.

We were a different family...
