Today’s scripture is a reminder and a warning concerning God's word and the end times. It says that God's word created the world and will destroy it. We should live holy and blameless lives, awaiting God's judgment. We should trust God's timetable, not our own, and guard against scoffers who mock Jesus' return. Jesus is the answer to the questions of life, and if we do not stand up for Him, even in suffering, who will? Suffering as a believer in Jesus is part of the Christian experience. You should not be surprised by suffering, even when you do what is right, but know God will reward you for your faith.
