Forgiveness is something that we all hope to receive from others but struggle to offer it to those who offend us. God did not create you and I to live for ourselves at the expense of others. This world could use a little more humility. True contentment and eternal value cannot be achieved by accumulating as many riches and wealth as possible while we are living. It may bring enjoyment here temporarily but the cold truth is that you cannot take it with you after death. You like I woke up today to hear the horrendous news that two mass shootings had occurred on the same day. (El Passo and Dayton). As I prepared to preach the lesson I had prepared for today, God spoke clearly to me. He said to me, “Read Psalm 86 and let me preach.” So I closed my notes, opened my Bible and opened my mouth. I take no glory or credit for this, I am just in awe that God chose to use me. I am extremely humbled. This message is a reminder that God is in control and if we want change, it begins with you and I.
