  • No Hat, No Play - For All God's Children
Anyone who has been involved with schooling over the past few decades will have heard the 'No hat, no play' rule designed to protect the children from sunburn and skin cancer. In our passage this week Paul gives a similar command in order to protect the church from an ongoing issue of idleness: If anyone is not willing to work, let them not eat. More than sheer laziness, idleness can quickly develop into more sinister problems and Paul gives some strong and clear instruction on how the church is to address the matter. As we consider these things in our own homes and church family please pray that God might "fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power" among us.

  • Ephesians 6:1-4 - The First Commandment with a Promise
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother… Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4) In this expository sermon on Ephesians 6, Pastor Brandon Charbonneau unpacks God's blueprint for the Christian home — the first church, first school, and first government under God. The Apostle Paul commands children to obey and honor their parents with a promise of blessing, while charging fathers to lead their households without exasperating their children, but to raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. This message boldly confronts the brokenness in families today — rebellion, provoking fathers, weak discipline, marital failure, and the shedding of innocent blood — while pointing us to Jesus Christ, the only perfect Son who honored His Father flawlessly and bore our rebellion on the cross so that we might be forgiven and empowered to walk in new obedience. Whether you are a child or teenager still at home, an adult learning to honor imperfect parents, a father seeking to lead faithfully, or single and preparing for the future, this sermon calls every one of us to repentance and Gospel-shaped faithfulness in the home.

  • Lessons from Babylon: Easily Forgotten
What are the things we should we be doing so the next generation does not forget the blessings of God? The sermon draws a powerful parallel between the spiritual decline of King Belshazzar, who desecrates sacred vessels and mocks the God of Israel, and the broader failure of generational faith transmission, warning that even when one generation experiences divine revelation, its spiritual legacy can vanish without intentional discipleship. Centered on Daniel 5, the passage illustrates how Belshazzar's arrogance and ignorance—despite the presence of Daniel, a man of divine wisdom—reveal the tragic consequence of neglecting to pass on faith, especially when leaders like Nebuchadnezzar fail to mentor the next generation. Yet the sermon finds hope in the broader context of God's redemptive work during the Babylonian exile, where the forced displacement of God's people led to the rise of home-based worship, family discipleship, and the synagogue, demonstrating that true faith is cultivated not in institutions alone but in daily, intentional practice. The preacher urges believers to model a living faith through consistent Scripture engagement, prayer, and honest testimony, emphasizing that the gospel is not for the morally perfect but for sinners redeemed by Christ's sacrifice, and that nurturing this truth in the next generation is both a duty and a privilege, ensuring that faith is not lost to time or cultural drift.

  • What Men Are to Be (Pt.1)
What does the Bible say men are to be? It is clear that we're living in a day where men are not only absent in the home but irresponsible with their main function as men. Many profess a faith in Jesus Christ but do not truly live out what they profess. In today's study we're going to begin a look at 3 things men are to be. Listen as Pastor Steve talks about the first in 'What Men Are to Be.'

  • Why Students Are Losing the Ability to Read
How and what we teach this generation will reflect what happens in the next. The communists know this. Two of their goals involve getting control of the schools and supporting any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture. These two goals were laid out in our congressional record in 1963. Unfortunately, those goals could be met someday in America because today's students are failing to learn the critical, academic principles of reading, writing, English and arithmetic. As such, they are not equipped to guard what Thomas Jefferson called, "...the sacred deposit of the rights and liberties of their fellow citizens." Joining Jim to discuss this issue was Bonnie Gasper. Bonnie is the chairman of Child Protection League. They educate the public and expose issues that harm children in our schools and our culture. Follow along and you'll hear Bonnie comment on numerous factors that are contributing to our children's learning problems such as: Digital screen reading. Is it just as effective as reading the printed page? What is the state of writing today and what is the correlation between this and reading? What is the "skip it" habit? The slowing of the mind. 10 steps to reclaim the adolescent mind

Walt is a husband, father, and corporate executive who underwent gender transition surgery at the age of 42 and tried to live as a woman for 8 years. Through therapy and faith in God, Walt was restored to his male identity and biological reality. He now helps others who regret trying to live in a manner at odds with how God created them. From drag queen story hours to the entertainment industry, from corporate America to medical institutions, to classroom reading material, school locker room policies and more, young people are being educated to believe that a boy can be a girl and vice-versa. As a result, some have gone on to chemically and physically damage themselves in an attempt to change their gender. So don't miss this edition of Crosstalk as Walt explains, from first hand experience, what this phenomenon is all about. It involves understanding how this trend impacts the mind of youth in their formative years, the impact on American society overall, the battle over language and word definitions as each side attempts to defend their positions, the impact of the educational system in this battle and much more, including input from listeners nationwide.

  • Woke and Weaponized
Alex Newman is an award-winning international freelance journalist, author, researcher, educator and consultant. He is senior editor for The New American. He is Founder & CEO of Liberty Sentinel and a national syndicator of radio and TV programs. News headlines across our nation continue to show themselves as both stunning and disturbing, particularly as it pertains to education. For example, Jim noted these headlines: From Western Journal--"Blue City Accused of Shoving Anti-American, Anti-Jewish Curriculum Down Throats of 200,000 Students." From The Center Square--"Public School Test Scores Continue to Decline Since Pandemic." From The Daily Caller--"Infamous School Board Trains Staff to Fight Terrorist Parents Angry About Trans Bathroom Policy." Such headlines point to the war that's been taking place for decades; a war for the mind of your children and grandchildren. From Karl Marx's 1848 call for free education in public schools to today's UNESCO-driven global agendas, the government school system has been a slow-motion revolution, shaping generations not to serve God or liberty, but to serve the state. You'll want to review this broadcast as Alex not only reviews the historical highlights of this effort, but what's taking place today to not only maintain the status quo, but to supercharge it. For example, Alex commented on the following: How were children educated before the government took over? Who was Robert Owen and what was the "trinity of evil" he wanted to abolish? Horace Mann is often called the founding father of the public school system. While he didn't openly attack the Bible, he did want it out of public schools.
