For over 150 years the west side of Indianapolis was the home of Central State Hospital, intended to help and care for individuals with mental psychosis throughout the Hoosier state. The institution's history lives on in the collections at the Indiana Medical History Museum and the countless ghost stories retold about the abandoned hospital.
